Eric Northman Marry Me

So I have an addiction to True Blood. Not in the I'm a vampire and need to drink it kind of way, but I can't get enough of that show. I started watching it about 2 years ago when I found the first season at Walmart for $12 on Black Friday. I only got to watch more seasons when Black Friday rolled around and I could afford the next season. Which honestly, sucked. So when Blake decided that he was gonna get a good internet that didn't give us a shitty download allowance, I knew that I'd have to get Netflix to watch it. Little did I know that True Blood wasn't on Netflix. Btdubs, there isn't a lot on Netflix. I don't know if I like it or not. Anyway...I almost gave up when I remembered my dearest daddy has HBO. And then I asked for his HBO Go password a couple of weeks ago and I just can't stop watching. Last night I stayed up way to late watching it. I'm in the middle of season 5 and season 6 is the one that was just on. I'll obviously be caught up come next summer so that I can watch the last and final season with the rest of the world. And I'm sad that it's the last season.

Hands down my favorite character is Eric. He's smoking hot and he's a bad ass. What the hell else do you need? Well, I'll tell you what else is so damn special about him. There might be some spoilers. Sorry.

1. He's fucking sexy. I know I mentioned that already but god. If Eric Northman was a real person he would be the hottest man on earth. True story. What's not to love. Well, his long hair isn't to love. I was devastated when he cut it off but damn he looks so much better now.

2. He's extremely loyal to his maker Godric. I'm pretty sure that Eric loved Godric more than anybody loves anybody else on this show. He was willing to die the true death for Godric and it was heart wrenching. I cried. Just watching these gifs makes me sad again. Poor Eric.

3. Once up on a time, a witch cast some kind of spell on Eric. And it was the best couple of episodes of True Blood ever. He lost his memory of who he was prior to that event and became such a sweet, caring vampire. It was completely opposite of who he really is. The relationship between him and Sookie was finally happening and I couldn't have been happier. It was wonderful. Probably my favorite part of the whole show.

4. He's awesome in bed. That's all.

5. This one isn't about just him. His relationship with Pam, his progeny, is beautiful. They love the shit out of each other but treat each other like shit more often than not. In the beginning Pam was more his right hand woman than she is now but they're relationship is incredible. When he released her I cried like a little girl. It made me so upset for both of them. Blake laughed at me. Rude. All along I've been conflicted on whether I want him with Sookie or if I want him to love Pam.

When he released her from his makership.
6. He's a cocky bad ass. Eric knows that he's hot. He also knows that he's thousands of years old and has all this wisdom. And you can see it in his face. He doesn't even have to say anything, you just know.

These are My Day Savers

So yesterday I tried to post a really whiny post on how much my blog sucks right now. My internet decided not to work as I tried to hit publish. That's probably a good thing. Because I read it again tonight, and jeez I sounded like an asshole. But that's neither here nor there.

All I want to say is that I don't enjoy this space as much as I used to. And that makes me feel all the sads. I still get excited about it, but at the same time, I'm not receiving much feedback. I have my besties who always comment and I love them so much for it, but I would like to hear from other people too. Lezbehonest, everybody wants to open their email and see some new comments from people. And if you say you don't, I'm judging you and probably giving you some dirty look. When the comments stop coming, the blog starts lacking. I know that's also my issue though. I don't really have any great material right now. I just can't think of anything original or "good enough." I know I'm my harshest critic but I feel that if I don't think something on my blog is great, than you probably don't either. That needs to change like yesterday. So throw me a me find my way back here. I want to be here.

Now that I've got that out of the way, I feel better.

I had a shitty night at work last night. I don't wanna talk about it but it made me think, there are things in life that were created for servers who have a shitty night at work. And it's my job to tell you about them. So here we go.

1. Booze
Seriously after you've been yelled at, put up with annoying children, put up with elderly people who just don't understand how things work, and shitty can always rely on the bottle to pick you back up. You've seen Waiting right? Servers really do go out to the bar to drink off a long day.

2. Shoe insoles
We stand up. Allllll day. And we continuously walk around. A good pair of insoles can make even the worst days better. But those bitches wear out way to fast. Seriously after 4 weeks I need new ones. And I'm too cheap for new ones. So if you want to send me some I'll love you forever.

I know, you think they were made for you. Nope, no way, wrong. They're made for people who work nights and don't get to watch good TV until after it's been on for everybody else to see. After a long, maybe kinda shitty day at work, I get so excited when I come home and realize all my favorite shows were on and I can watch them without commercials! Hahaha suckers, no commercials for this girl.

4. A Sense of Humor
Because after a long day at work, when you're out boozing it up with other servers, you gotta laugh at that one idiot server who just sucks. Or the asshole customers and the evil shit you might have done to them. Or the fact that you're getting made fun of and you need a quick comeback.

5. Beds
Obviously. After a long night sometimes all you want to do is curl up in a ball and taste your own salty tears while Netflixing your life away. Not that I'd know or anything. There's nothing that your favorite blanket and big pillows can't cure. If you don't love your bed that much, there's something wrong.

I just love this song. And it makes me happy. Which I need after a long day at work!

Celebrate Fall

I'm back from the dead cupcakes. But I'm not quite living. I still feel like shit but I can stand to look at a computer screen for more than .02 seconds. Thank the lawwws.

So I work with this crazy older Asian lady and she seriously is crazy. To give you an idea of how shitty I feel I'll tell you what she said to me as I was leaving last night. She was all like "Oh, yes you need sleep. You face looks terrible, still sick." Make sure you say this with a thick Asian accent to get the whole image in your head.

In case you didn't know, it's officially Fall. Halle-fucking-luah! Y'all know this is my favorite season and I would appreciate it if it was Fall all year round. But here we are, in the third day of bliss. I've never really made a Fall bucket list before but I have a bunch of stuff I want to do, so I decided to do it.

Carve Pumpkins with Mini

No, this isn't mine but I would love to be able to do this.

Go to Maple Leaf and one of its festivities. Of course there's always the parade but there's other stuff to do all week.

Drink caramel apple spice from Starbucks and add pumpkin spice too it!

Make my own pumpkin something from scratch. I have a billion recipes and I need to do this. I will do it. I will. I will.

Go to the Halloween Pub Crawl in Springfield.

Make a new dish for Thanksgiving.
Use my crockpot more.
Go to Silver Dollar City for their Fall Festival!
Visit at least one spook house and corn maze.
Buy myself a pair of riding boots.
Buy at least one pair of colored skinny jeans. Black and grey count as colors.
Get my hair done.
Find a fall wreath that I love. So far this is seeming impossible. I don't like flowers or nature like stuff and I won't make my own. Thanks, but no thanks.
Start buying Christmas gifts. Eeeeep.

What's on your fall bucket list? Anything I need to add to mine.

I Promise I'm Still Here

Hey cupcakes. Sorry I've been gone this week, I feel like I'm dying and looking at a bright screen is the last thing I wanna do.

I do have something for you to read though. Last week the wonderful Meg from Yammering Yankee asked for guest posters and I jumped at the chance. So you can head on over there to read it.

Everybody stopping by from her blog, I'm glad to have you. Sorry I haven't been here but I'll be back next week and. I hope you stick around!

P.s. I wrote this on the ipad and I can't link to anything. Meg's web address is

Happy Weekend cupcakes!

Yeah, I Got A #$^$$ Problem

Happy Friday cupcakes! I don't have much time so I'm gonna bust out as much word vomit as I can. Ready!

- It's Friday the 13. Spooky spooky. I love the 13 even if it is a Friday. It's my favorite day of the month. But when I'm working...all hell breaks loose. I've knocked waters over on people every Friday the 13 that I can remember when I'm serving. It's a trip. When I delivered pizza...something would happen too. Let's hope all goes well for me today. I don't work tonight thank goodness. It's like my managers knew or something. Yes, I am superstitious about some things.

- I have a hot date with a hibachi grill tonight. The boy, the mini, and I are gonna go eat. It's one of her favorite things and since I hardly ever get a weekend night off without requesting it, I figured I better take full advantage of it. Then there's a trip to the Halloween store to finish off Mini's costume. Yes, I know it's the middle of September. We love Halloween and like to get shit taken care of. Hahaha who am I kidding, we never get anything taken care of early. Except this.

- I didn't think it was possible but I found something disgusting at Chik-fil-a. Don't ever have their breakfast burritos. I've never met a breakfast burrito I didn't like but this one...oh this one. The egg was terrible. I didn't know that they served their regular menu in the morning too. Next time chiki-minis it is. Oh, and the closest Chik-fil-a is like 20 minutes away from me. I've had a busy morning!

- My fantasy team better do a shit ton better this week. Seriously guys, I had the least amount of points out of everybody last week. 67 effing points. That's it. The next highest person was at 97. Pathetic. Blake says that I have a great team they all just played shitty. Here's to hoping. I'm looking at you Cam Newton.

- The Cowboys are only 3 hours away from me on Sunday but I can't go. =( I'm so mad at myself for not trying harder to get tickets. I've never been to an NFL game. Who wants to have their first NFL game at Arrowhead Stadium anyway? Not this girl. I hope the Chiefs get beat on. But Jamal Charles can do ok, because he's on my fantasy team.

- Last but certainly not least, I'm backing it up with Whitney. I'm kind of obsessed with these songs right now. I just can't help it.

Listen to My Life

Music...I'm pretty sure we all love it. And if you don't, well what the fuck?

I've done a few music posts before. I think you all know how I feel about Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Music is one of my favorite things. So when Helene announced that she was hosting a "Songs That Define Me" link up, I was all in.

That was before I realized how hard it was. Like, I just wanna bust out all my favorite songs on here, but they don't all define me. And I can't even remember half of the songs I think define me. How in the hell do you define yourself at 22 years old anyway? But, I'm gonna give it a try. Ready or not, here we go.

I know I've told you the story about the song bitch by Meredith Brooks before. I just think it's hilarious. And if anything defines me, it's definitely this song. And not just because I'm a bitch, because she admits to being more than that.

Another song that little me loved was "I like it, I love it." by Tim McGraw. And I honestly had no idea who sung that until just now. I'd walk around singing just the chorus. I don't think I even know any of the other words.

Then we have the Spice Girls, do you think I'd leave them off! I know that it's not really a song but anything by them was my jam. I just couldn't help it!

Then there was the late 90's pop music boom. I still cry when I see Britney or N*SYNC. I used to put on concerts in my bedroom to their music when i was about 8 or 9. My neighbors could always see me. I didn't know that then, but now I'm embarrassed. Thank the lawsss that they've since moved. I was obsessed. Sorry kids, but you have shitty pop music now. Nothing will ever take Britney's place. And your boy bands. PUHLEAASE!

Then I decided to live the thug life. I didn't choose the thug life, the thug life chose me. And my mom wanted to kill me. I'm pretty sure of it. But she never said a word. I listened to the most thug stuff I could get my hands on. It was terrible. But I also loved me some Nelly. I mean, he's from Missouri so of course I have to rep him!

This post is already getting to long. So I'm gonna skip a lot of years. But I have to. Maybe some other day I can tell you all about the music of my teenage rebellion. I bet it's similiar to yours. And if it isn't...I wouldn't be surprised either. I'm a freak.

When I had Teagan, my friend Elle made a dvd for me. It had all the pictures she had taken the day she was born. It was set to the song Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. Now every time I hear it, I cry. This is definitely one of the most defining songs of my life.

I'm gonna stop here for today. I'll have a part two tomorrow. =) Peace out kids. I gotta do some laundry. Have a great Thirsty Thursday. Drink some for me.

Thing One

I adopted a cat. Ok, well, it adopted me.

Once upon a time, there were new people that moved in across the street from me. They had a momma cat and her litter of babies. All 5 of the kitties were outside kitties. One day, Thing 1 (which is what we're calling it for now) came over and let us pet her. She was super friendly and loooved Trixie. Trixie used to go over to their house to go play with them. My dog isn't really a dog. I think I've told you that before. Thing 1 has continued to come over ever since that day and has now made herself at home.

So now, I have an outside cat with the personality the size of a lion. And she loves to talk. I was taking Teag to school this morning and Thing 1 was underneath my mom's car waiting for us to come outside. She just let herself in too. She is constantly suckling on something if you let her. Teagan loves that and I can't stand it.

See, we used to have cats but my mom said no more unless they just chose us. And now one has. She can come hang out in the house but she can't sleep in here. She's what we call a Fred. My gma has an outside cat named Fred who comes in about once a day to hang out but he's primarily supposed to be outside. So that's what I've decided to do.

Oh, and Thing 1's siblings all come over too. But they aren't very people friendly. They sit and stare at us, but we can't touch them. They also invite themselves in our house too.

My mind is blown.

5 Things About Me

Hello Monday. We meet again. I'm ready for you to be over because my weekend starts tomorrow. I'm more than ready. Let's do this.

Last week one of my favorite bloggers, Erin, gave me some fabulous questions to answer for y'all.

Here we go.

1. What is your go to drink at the bar?
Definitely a Long Island. I love them. That or a beer. I love margs too but the bar around here isn't too great at making them. And besides, Long Islands get right to the point.

That's my long island Cooper!

2. What are you planning to be for Halloween?
I was going to be a can of red bull. Yes, I'm serious. And Blake was going to be a bottle of Jager. Get it? Jager bomb. A perfect couple's costume. Corny and lame but funny. He loves Jager, to the point that he has a tattoo of it. That's a story for another time. I love red bull. But, we decided that instead of going to our friend's Halloween party we're going to Springfield to go to a pubb crawl. I'm super pumped. So I'm pulling out the same costume from last year. Was that the longest answer possible to this question? I think so.

I was her groom. Next year, there will be no stockings. They didn't stay!

3. If you could bang one TV character, who would it be?
I only get to pick one. Fuuuuuck. That's my answer to most things when I don't know or can't decide. I must say I have to pick Jax Teller. Although a close second is Daryl Dixon. Yummm.

I gotta thing for dirty boys. Can ya tell??

4. Which blogger in blogland do you feel is your long lost sister?
Another hard question. I have so many girls I feel could be my long lost sister. But I must pick only one. And since this girl shares my rare birthday, it's definitely Jordan from Musings of a Twenty-Something. I love that girl to death. And I can't wait until we get to meet each other. It better be soon. We'll have so much fun!!!

5. What is the best thing in your opinion about being a blogger?
Definitely all the free stuff. Kidding, I'm kidding. I don't get free stuff. But for cereal, it's making such great friends. There are so many people that I plan on meeting. And I just love that there's somebody else out there who gets me. Blogger friends are better than most in real life friends. I'm so glad I was forced to start a blog and I continued it, because I wouldn't know any of you without it!

You're turn! Tell me if you wanna play and I'll give you some questions!

Color Me Happy

I joined another swap guys. I just love them. This one is the favorite color swap. I love all things neutral so I can't wait to get started on this one.

What sucks is that this was supposed to post yesterday but Blogger apparently didn't want it to. Sad face. Since it didn't post yesterday, the signups are now closed =(. Blogger fail. But, Chaotic Goddess Swaps will have many many more swaps so be sure to check them out!

Why I Love Football

Welp, it's the day we've all been waiting for. Friday is finally here. So let down your hair, get comfy and stay awhile!

Last night was the season opener of the best sport ever. Yep, NFL Football. Sorry I'm not sorry that I prefer NFL over college. I just can't get into college sports. Now don't get me wrong, I have a college team that way I can root for them whenever somebody asks, but the big boys are where it's at for me.

Football brings back some awesome memories. And I'd figure I'd share some of them with you today. Because I'm a kind person like that. Just agree with me.

When I was little, my dad was all football every Sunday. And it was magical. He always made some homemade cheese dip and little smokies with his secret awesome barbecue sauce. And it always tasted better than yours. I bet I'm right.

When touchdowns were made by the Cowboys, because ya know, we love them, he would always yell "Touchdown Notre Dame!" At the time I had no clue what in the hell he meant. But I get it now. Gotta love being an adult. The things that you learn to understand.

Then there were Sundays at my grandma's where everybody gathered too. My grandpa loves the Chiefs. Somebody help him. So, if there wasn't a Cowboy game on, we were watching them. Sometimes we'd flip back and forth. Wanna talk about confusing.

Then there was her food. If it was cold, there was the best potato soup I'd ever had the pleasure of eating. And if it was warm, my uncle was outside firing up the grill because duh, that's what America is made of!

Last night, there were a few happy tears when the fireworks started and the fans were screaming. I may not get all the technical stuff about football, but for the most part I understand the game. And I enjoy watching it. Just not every single game on a Sunday. Blake, that's for you if you ever read this.

Football is here. And I can't wait to see what happens! If you need me Sunday, I'll be watching to hope that the Cowboys beat the Giants. Ok, actually I'll be at work but I'll be checking my phone every 5 seconds. Sorry Erin!

7 Things About Fall

I was going to wait to post this until October but I can't. October gets its own post about how fabulous it is. As we all know fall is my jam. I love it. Give me fall for life if you can. It's a damn shame that we can't. I know everybody is looking forward to fall in blogland. I've read like 5416151 posts about it. Of course I have to take suit and do the same thing. So, here we go.

1. The weather is better.
I hate to be hot. I absolutely positively hate it. I don't like to be cold either so there's that. Fall is perfect. You can layer and layer and then strip down when and if it starts to get to warm. Plus, the sun isn't up as long and I just like darkness better. Give me some crisp air on a cloudy day and we are set.

2. Pumpkin ________ (insert whatever here)
Except for lattes. I don't drink coffee so that's a no-go here. Whether it's candles or food or just pumpkins, I love it.

3. Caramel Apple Spice from Starbucks
I love this drink. And while I'm sure I could get it when it's hot outside, it just wouldn't be the same. When fall starts, my mouth starts to water knowing that this drink could be mine anyday. This year I might add some pumpkin spice to it and see how it tastes! I plan on making a version of my own this year just for grown ups =).

4. The clothes
I love to layer. I want to wear leggings and sweaters and scarves and boots all year round please. But I probably wouldn't enjoy them as much if I could. I can't wait until it gets cold enough for some of my new sweaters. Pinterest had inspired me!

5. I can use my crockpot again.
I know that they can be used all year long but they just seem like a cooler weather type of ordeal for me. I know that I don't want to eat something heavy in the warmer months and that's normally what I make in mine. I'm ready to find some new recipes and get started!

6. Good tv is back.
Umm yeah. Sons starts in 5 days. Just 5! I can't wait. The Walking Dead, New Girl, Grey's Anatomy, all of it. I love tv and fall starts good tv again.

7. Cuddling Weather
Seriously perfect cuddling weather. Even just cuddling with a blanket. It's wonderful. Not too hot and not too cold. I prefer to cuddle during this time of year. Especially with the best dog in town.

What about you; What do you love about fall?

Wah Wah Wah

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I'm pretty sure of it. I was mean and ugly and felt sad. I really hate feeling that way. So I did what anybody else would do, and went straight back to bed. I still wasn't myself when I woke up a second time. Hence why you're getting a late post from me. I'm all better now. I'll get to that in a few.

I did the cara box exchange this month because the theme sounded like a good one. The creator, Kaitlyn, paired everybody up by life stages. I think this was a great idea. And although I am a mom and I'm in a long-term relationship, I still signed up for the young adult single, childless box. I don't really blog about Teagan that often and most of the time I just tell silly stories about Blake, so it sounded like a good idea.

I got paired with Katherine from Simplistic Creations, who is a dyi genius. Seriously, I don't know how she does it. You guys know that diy itsn't my thang. I don't have the patience/creativity to do it. So you get it girl!
Here's my awesome box I recieved.

Look at those kitchen utensils, guys, she did that herself!

Cara box rules have just been updated so if you're interested in participating click the button below to learn more. This month's theme is about fall so of course I had to participate! You should do it too. Maybe we can be matched up!

Cara Box

And here's what I watched to put myself in a good mood today. I mean, what girl wouldn't love it. If this doesn't put you in a better mood, well, I don't think anybody can.

Eat a Snickers

Hola cupcakes. I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I'm glad it's over. I'm finally off after two long ass doubles at work. I literally worked open to close yesterday. And I served allllll day. My bones were hurting something bad when I got off work. remember when I told you that my first fantasy football draft was Saturday? Well, it was. And it was quite the experience. I think manfriend really loves me because there were a couple of tantrums thrown. Ooops. =)

Saturday started out with me getting up and really wanting Red Lobster or Carinos (we don't have a lot of good non chain restaurants. I'm jealous of all of you who do) so I text the boy and said when he wakes up we were going to eat so be ready. And I waited. And waited. And then continued to wait. Finally at two in the afternoon I go back to his house and hes awake! I'm like "Um, thanks for the text. Are you ready to go eat?" Then he tells me that he already ate. I lost it. I was just like a Snickers commercial. I was so hungry that I was turning into a crazy lady. To say I was pissed was an understatement. He didn't even bother to look at his phone. Rude! And I pouted and moped for about an hour. I wouldn't even talk to him for like 15 minutes. I was ridiculous. But I was hungry dammit! So, I settled for some Chic-fil-a because duh. Who doesn't love their chicken?

I had to. Hilarious. Only one more month!

The draft brought out the diva in me again. I'm a perfectionist and need to know everything about anything I'm attempting to do. I'm also a procrastinator and put off everything until the last minute. So I had done zero research about football. And the man couldn't answer my questions so I just about put my picks on auto draft. But I researched my ass off for an hour before it was time. While I didn't feel ready, I did feel better. Next year won't be as hard. I got a pretty good team - I think. Unfortunately I didn't get any Cowboys. I know you're not supposed to pick just from your team but dammit I wanted at least one player. But I got a good qb. Cam Newton please play well!

We were supposed to do the draft at a party but it was online and we didn't want to drag our laptops to a party and then have to worry about them. So we hung out at home and had some beer. I got to try my Pumking that I was dying to try. And unfortunately, we didn't get along so well. I wanted to like it so bad and I didn't. I about cried. I had it all set in my mind about how it would taste. It would be a malty beer that was kind of sweet and tasted just like pumpkin pie. It wasn't. The first drink wasn't so bad. But the end taste and the after taste are what got to me. It was kind of sour. I can't really describe it except strong and sour. Which isn't even a word. I need to learn more about beer so I can accurately describe it. But Blake loved it so it wasn't wasted!

My sad face about it.
And I don't know if you heard the news yet...I don't even know if you care but it's my mission to stay up to date on pop culture so I must report. 50 Shades of Grey is officially gonna be a movie. And they've casted it. Now, I know somewhere on here I talked about how my homeboy Alexander Skarsgard should be Christian Grey. I think he would be perfection. However, Hollywood doesn't give a shit what I think is perfection. They picked my other homeboy. Who you ask? Well, none other than the hottie mchotterson Charlie Hunnam. Although I'm appreciative of him and all his glory that will be shown in this movie, I don't really know if he was right for the part. Even when he cleans up, he still looks dirty. And that's perfectly fine by me. But Christian Grey is not a dirty guy. I don't know if I can picture Charlie all business savvied and what not. We shall see!

I drooled a little. Mmmmm.
