A Good Week

Happy Friday cupcakes! How much better could this week be? I mean it's Friday already. That went by super fast. I hope everybody had a good week.

It's time to give love to 5 things today.

1. I've been 23 for a week and so far so good! I know I haven't talked about my birthday yet, but I plan on it next week. I think 23 and I will get along just great.

2. It was a short and easy work week for me. I had Tuesday off, had to call in Wednesday because the kiddo was sick, worked yeterday, I work tonight, I'm off tomorrow, and I only work sunday morning! I just put my schedule on the internet so if you're stalking me, I made it easier for you. =) Easy weeks are the best. But for real, next week I need to work every shift and probably pick up a few others. I need to get back on that work flow.

3. I'm hosting a baby shower tomorrow. So I went and bought all the gifts and stuff last night. Dear lawwwwd. I love baby stuff. I bought way too much stuff. But I always have to get something sentimental, something they want, a blankie, and an outfit. It's like a requirement in my brain. I love shopping for babies.

4. I started taking my thyroid medicine again (long story for another day) and I'm starting to feel a little bit better. It's bs that I have to take a pill and shit can't function on its own but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I can actually wake up in the morning. But I feel like I have to be in bed by 9. Hopefully it works itself out.

5. I'm paying off my credit cards today!!!!!!!!! I had to save the best for last. I'm so pumped about it. I haven't had either one of them completely paid off since I've gotten them. It's going to be so much easier for me at the end of the month when the bills come and I don't have to pay them. I'm ready to start saving more, and having a little bit more to splurge with too.

I love him.

What Makes Me Want To Blog

Happy Friday cupcakes! Hope your week was absolutely amazing. Mine was pretty good. I can't complain.

I took a little hiatus this week and only posted once. I just didn't have anything to say and I didn't want to post just to post. I even contemplated whether or not to continue on with it. Sometimes it just seems to be  hassle and I don't want that.  It's a place I come to spill my guts, or to show off the things I'm obsessed with. I knew that deleting it wasn't the answer. How would I manage my friendships that have grown from this blog? I want this blog to be something people can relate to. I want it to be a place where I can make wonderful friends. So, if I don't blog, it's just because I don't think I have anything worth saying. And sometimes, that's ok. And sometimes when I'm not blogging, I don't read very many blogs. A break is a nice thing.

Anyway...I'm going to link up for 5 for Friday again. It's the cool thing to do, and I always want to be a cool kid. Let's do it!

1. I got my fabulous package from Whit! I ordered her first shirt from her new venture and I was super excited about it. It came with a koozie! Awesome free present =). Anyway...this shirt had a huge impact on my decision to not quit blogging. I mean, how I could I wear it with pride if I wasn't blogging? Not very many people in my real life know about it, but now I'm ready to share. When people ask I want to get all giddy and tell them all about my favorite thing.

Whitney hasn't posted her next shirt yet, but make sure you're paying attention for the announcement!

2. We decorated a little for Christmas! For the first time in years we have a normal people Christmas tree. It's nice but definitely not me. But it makes the little happy and that's what matters. We actually have two trees. One's a little smaller and we let Teagan go to town on it. It has all of our old ornaments on it. 

3. I'm almost done Christmas shopping. Write that down. I never ever ever get done this early and it's super exciting. I just need to finish a few things up and I can feel relieved. I'm so ready.

4. Helene posted about how having a fb page for your blog is important. And she backed it up with reasons it is. At first I didn't believe her but ya know...when the proof is there you have to take it. So come like my fb page please! I promise to try and use it more than I do.

5 On Friday

Cheers to the freakin' weekend y'all. Although I haven't worked a full weekend since that one month we call September. This is my first full weekend back to work. Ouch.

1. So this week I've done really good eating wise. I only ate out one time and it was because I worked a double and didn't have time to go home. Bam! I'm super proud of myself. I've also eaten breakfast everyday this week. I don't know what's happened to me but I'll take it. I also saved some damn money by not eating out.

2. I didn't really spend any money this week which is also awesome. The only things I bought were things for dinner and a pair of work shoes. I need to start Christmas shopping. Ugh. 

3. I did my first art and craft project with Teagan. We had to decorate a feather for a turkey for the bulletin board. In the process I popped open not one, but two, containers of glitter glue all over myself. That's why I don't do art projects =) But it turned out good. Keep in mind, she did most of it.

4. Next week I'm gonna try and have a meaningful post up in here. I was watching Meg's vlog and she said that for a blog to have good writing, you need to take time and think about it. Not just post a blog that you wrote 15 minutes ago. I'm paraphrasing too by the way. So look forward to that.

5. I really need some new fall clothes. I have one pair of jeans that I actually enjoy wearing, lots of leggings that aren't quality, and not very many shirts. I hope Santa reads this blog and helps me out. What are your picks for some nice tops??
