Weekend Stuff

Well, it's Monday again. What can ya do about it?

My weekend was not exciting at all. But that's ok. I was off for most of it and I hung out with Teagan and Blake. Teagan played sick Friday morning claiming that she couldn't go to school but by noon she was ok. Yeah, already at 5 years old my daughter is playing hookie. That little shit.

Here are the exciting parts of our weekend.

Hibachi...we love to take Teag to Japanese Steakhouse. She loves it and so do we. Win win for everybody.

Christmas shopping. I went for two things. Didn't find either. I was a little pissed. But I did get something for Teagan. With her there. That's how you get shit done. It helps to have another adult to do the distracting.

And last, but certainly not least...the football game I've been waiting for was played. And the quarter that I watched was boring. So I quit watching. See, I hate the Chiefs. I don't really have any other reasons other than that my dad taught me to. I just don't like them. And I was ready for them to be stomped by the Broncos. Who I'm also not a fan of by the way. Except for Eric Decker. Did y'all watch Eric and Jessie? It was sooo awesome. And that's why I like him. So many people that I love, happen to love the Chiefs. So seeing my newsfeed blow up every Sunday made me want to vomit. I was tired of their winning streak. And their fans thought that they were so awesome. Shit, they hadn't played any star teams so of course they won all of their games. (yes, they did play the Cowboys, they beat them, by one point. the Cowboys also aren't that good of a team) Their offensive line isn't that great, except for Jamal Charles. So who won those 9 games then? Their defense. Not the whole damn team. And last night you got shut out. See ya in two weeks.

Why I Love Football

Welp, it's the day we've all been waiting for. Friday is finally here. So let down your hair, get comfy and stay awhile!

Last night was the season opener of the best sport ever. Yep, NFL Football. Sorry I'm not sorry that I prefer NFL over college. I just can't get into college sports. Now don't get me wrong, I have a college team that way I can root for them whenever somebody asks, but the big boys are where it's at for me.

Football brings back some awesome memories. And I'd figure I'd share some of them with you today. Because I'm a kind person like that. Just agree with me.

When I was little, my dad was all football every Sunday. And it was magical. He always made some homemade cheese dip and little smokies with his secret awesome barbecue sauce. And it always tasted better than yours. I bet I'm right.

When touchdowns were made by the Cowboys, because ya know, we love them, he would always yell "Touchdown Notre Dame!" At the time I had no clue what in the hell he meant. But I get it now. Gotta love being an adult. The things that you learn to understand.

Then there were Sundays at my grandma's where everybody gathered too. My grandpa loves the Chiefs. Somebody help him. So, if there wasn't a Cowboy game on, we were watching them. Sometimes we'd flip back and forth. Wanna talk about confusing.

Then there was her food. If it was cold, there was the best potato soup I'd ever had the pleasure of eating. And if it was warm, my uncle was outside firing up the grill because duh, that's what America is made of!

Last night, there were a few happy tears when the fireworks started and the fans were screaming. I may not get all the technical stuff about football, but for the most part I understand the game. And I enjoy watching it. Just not every single game on a Sunday. Blake, that's for you if you ever read this.

Football is here. And I can't wait to see what happens! If you need me Sunday, I'll be watching to hope that the Cowboys beat the Giants. Ok, actually I'll be at work but I'll be checking my phone every 5 seconds. Sorry Erin!

See Ya August

It's Friday. I'm neither excited or disappointed about this. Weird right. My thoughts are jumbled today so youu're gonna get brain mush. Are you ready?

- My draft for my fantasy team is tomorrow. Did I tell you what the name was? Well, incase I didn't it's Tittsburg Feelers. Thanks to Sarah for the wonderful idea. And none of my friends that are playing know that I have a blog so they think I'm a creative genius. Thanks again Sarah! I've done thismuch to prepare for the draft tomorrow. I know, I know. How am I gonna win if I haven't even looked at anything. Last year's winner just picked hot guys and she won. I'm sure Blake is gonna sit me down and teach me way too much for my brain to handle tomorrow.

- Damn Texans beat the Cowboys last night. My blogland bestie Jordan loves the Texans. She's on cloud nine today. I told her not to get used to that shit. What's worse is that I heard the stadium was full of more Texan fans than Cowboy fans. AT OUR OWN STADIUM. Pathetic. I bet they're just pretending they usck this season that way when pre-season is over they can kick ass.

I shouldn't make fun of my own team but this is hilarious. Best caption wins!

- Why are my bills always due at the beginning of the month. My 3 most expensive ones are all due the first 3 days of the month. I'm poor for like a week and a half after that. And about the time I catch back up and think, "Oh, I can go shopping! Woohoo!" it's bill time again. Jeez, life is always getting in the way of fun stuff.

- I'm glad August is over. All it brought to the game was shitty weather. The first two weeks all it did was rain. I thought about building an ark. It's partially started in Blake's back yard. Then, after the rain it brought a terrible heat wave. See ya next year August. You suck, nobody's going to miss you. And while we're at it, let's just skip September and get straight to the good stuff - October! I have so much going on that month and I can't wait!

- If you follow me on insta or twitter than you know that my other blogland bestie Meg sent me a sweet little package. See, here in the middle of the flyover states, it's hard to get craft beer. We get all the trends last, after they're not trends anymore, and it's no different with craft beers. Meg had written a post about fall beers and one of them she loves is called Pumking. I just had to have some, and not to my surprise, you can't get any around here. So the sweet girl sent me a bottle! I've been holding out on trying it but I'll try it tomorrow. I need to know if I like it because I found other websites that will ship it to me. Can't wait for that!

- Work is sucking right now. Apparently when the kiddies go back to school nobody comes out to eat. And when they do they leave their wallets and their brains at home. Speaking of work, I know that you guys love work stories so every Wednesday I try and blog about some. Come check it out.

It's Friday and I need to back my azz up with Whitney. My favorite song off of Luke's new album is finally on GrooveShark. Thanks to whoever uploaded it. I tried but my iTunes is all fucked up so I couldn't do it. Enjoy. Peace out kids.

I'm Gonna Live Mas When I'm Old

So...there was a football game last night....and I loved every minute of it! I had a great SuperBowl Sunday and I hope ya'll did too. =)) And my team won! I knew I should have bet people. I"m not a gambler. I already lose money, I don't need to do it on purpose.

Highlights of the Game

1. M&M's Commercial.
I love them. They're my favorite candy. And this one just cracked my shit up. lol.

2. Fast & Furious 6
I'm a big dork and I love these movies still. Okaky, I love the ones with the original cast in them! The first one is one of my favorite movies of all time. But waiting till Memorial Day? What a tease!

Aww yeah!

Do you believe in ghosts?

3. Two Broke Girls Commercial
It was perfect! So awesome. I love this show and these girls. I've always said that would be my stripper song. It was in my past life. I'm sure. And they added glitter! What's not to love??

4. My Feast!
Blake and I pigged out on a lot of food. Way to much for just two people. Oh well!

sandwiches & finger foods/smokies by the man/buffalo (chicken) balls

Food was good! And the chicken balls (I laugh everytime, so immature, I know) tasted amazing! Next time I  make them are things I want to change. Later this week I'll post the recipe! I love making new food.

5. Budweiser Clydesdale Commercial
Ugh my heart broke but it was so sweet! I love animals. And I love beer. Why not put them in a commercial. They have my money heart forever.

6. Taco Bell Commercial
This was just awesome and when I'm old, I'm definitely gonna do this.

7. Beyonce-Bowl
Girl still has it going on! Get it Bey! And then the Destiny's Child reunion....oh sweet childhood yes! I shed a tear or two.

Lows of the Game

1. Go Daddy Commercial.
EWWWWW. Was that up close and personal make out shot necessary? And it was way too long. Ugh. So nasy.

2. Dodge Ram, He Made A Farmer Commercial
Yawnnnnn....and I liked the rest of the car commercials. This was too long. And repetitive. Sorry Farmers. I appreciate what you do but this was too much. TOO MUCH.

3. Power Outage
It made me tired. And then I slept through the rest of the quarter after the power came back. The jokes were a high though. I just didn't want to make the list any longer. Long lists don't interest people!

All in all, it was a great Super Bowl day! Happy Monday cupcakes!

I've Got The Bad Touch

Happy Friday cupcakes! Sorry I wasn't around much this week. Still trying to figure out my school schedule and blogging again. Blahhhh. But it's here! The moment we've been waiting for...oh glorious Friday. And since it's Superbowl Weekend...we get to munch out a lot! Yay. I've been waiting for this. And I'm cheering for the Ravens. It's kinda so maybe I can suck up to Raven. Ok, maybe just kinda.

So, this week has been an interesting one for me. I've figured out that over the course of a month, I've broken 5 kind of important things. Let's start from the beginning shall we.

- My Phone. That's what started this horrible breaking trend. You guys already know about that.

- My keychain. See, one day I went out to my car to start it and all my keys were gone. I was like wtf????!!! I came back in and the damn thing had fallen apart. I was a little irritated. I found all my keys and have some of my keychains but I haven't put them back together. I don't know why.

- My car door handle. I told you guys about that too. I don't think I've ever been so mad in my life as I was the night I did that. Just fucking irritating.

- A laptop. Yep, that's right. Somebody stepped on a laptop that was in the room and now the screen is being a little bitch. It's not mine obviously but it's still broken. However, boyfriend found out it has HDMI hookup so it's salvaged =)

And last but certainly not least...

- My car key. Yes, you read that right. The key to my car broke in half Tuesday night. As boyfriend was trying to start the car with it. Luckily, he got the piece out of the ignition. I just couldn't believe it. Luckily I had a spare at home so I called and asked my momma to come rescue me. And the laptop and the key happened on the same damn day. Destiny?

look, it's even a chevy key, just like mine.

Do you have a bad touch?? It seems here lately anything I touch breaks. Did you go through this? lol.

Busy Much?

Happy Monday lovies!!! Yep, I'm happy it's Monday. Because I'm off with absolutely zero responsiblities today. But I'm gonna be responsible and do stuff anyway.

Just a warning...this is probably going to be a novel length post. Sorry. Big hugs if you make it through the whole thing. =)

My weekend actually started last Thursday. I told you guys that I was going to Oklahoma City to celebrate my aunt's last dose of chemo. Early that morning boyfriend, Teag, and I all hopped in the car and headed there. 4 hours later and we get there. My aunt gives horrible directions just so you know. I already knew how to get there, I just didn't know how to get to her chemo center. But I figured it out. After chemo was over we drove over to this amazing steakhouse called SaltGrass. It was amazeballs! Expensive but delicious.

These are all the fabulous people who came out to celebrate my aunt. My aunt is the one with the beanie on, my grandma is in the white shirt next to me, and auntie's husband is behind me in the red jersey. All that love for one person!

This was my lunch. Steak and shrimp with mashed potatoes. OMG that steak, it was delicious. Juicy, tender, and was perfectly seasoned. I can't wait to go back there.

The hunnie and myself.

My uncle got this for me! lol I had to send this picture of myself to him. I think it might actually be a headband. And I might just wear it.

The beautiful princess herself.

Unfortuantely, my slightly slow ass didn't ask off for Friday, so we had to hop back in the car and drive another 4 hours home. And I did all the driving. YAWN. Boyfriend and I were tired so we chatted a lot and told stories of things we did when we were kids. I felt so connected on the ride home. Love it.

Friday I was a double at work. Nothing exciting except some bitches I work with threw me under the bus to our manager. They never even came to me with their "problems" just went straight to him. And their problems are such bullshit too. Ugh. Don't want to think about it. I'll just get mad. I ended the night with the worst headache I've had in a long time. I couldn't open my left eye because it hurt so bad. I didn't want to drive home from work that night. I always want to leave that place and I hung out until I felt a little better.

Saturday morning I got to work and worked the day away. Then it was birthday party time. Boyfriend's best friend's son celebrated his first birthday this week. Ahhh I remember first birthdays! Such an exciting time in life. We all went to Root Zero 3 for dinner. Here's little mister with his smash cake. Wife was there and I had to get a picture of mini with her best friend! It was nice to spend a Saturday with my friends and family.

Sunday was another double! Except I had to buss for my morning shift. Oh my fucking gahhhh...that is some tough shit. I have much more respect for our bussers now. I know that my ass doesn't want to do it. I lost like 5 pounds from sweat. My clothes were so icky and I felt disgusting. I worked hard. HARD.

I'm the worst blog mama ever. My blogiversary was on the 19! We're officially a year old. I can't believe I've made it a year. So crazy. I've gone from 0 people to 87 of you wonderful readers. I'll recap my favorite posts later this week. Thank you all for sticking with me. I love sharing my life with you!

I'm watching teen mom right now, these bitches are crazy. I mean, let's move in with our boyfriend 2 months after being together. No offense if that's your jam, but these girls already have to much going on. And I don't know why Jenelle tries to live with anybody, she just gets in a fight with them every time. Way to predictable thanks. And Chelsea, wtf spoiled much? Her mom got her a new puppy because of the unfortunate circumstances of poor Frankie. She has a child, she doesn't need two dogs. Leah is just lonely. They're all lonely. I get it. But shit, focus on yourself not boys/girls/dogs/moving/having more babies.

That was a little off subject. I decided today that I'm going to do the 5 for Five linkup today. Maybe that will hold me accountable for the week.

- Get 5 loads of laundry done. That means put away too. Eeek. I love the washing and drying part. Just don't like to put it away. I have mountains of clothes in my room. And I'm tired of it.

- Workout 3 times. I can do this.

- Start Mini's birthday party process! This means I need to finalize my guest count and buy my invitations.

- Cook 2 meals at home. I've reverted back to eating out too much and I hate it. Blahhh.

- Make food for boyfriend and I for Superbowl Sunday before Sunday night. We're having dips, and who knows what else so I need to start sooner rather than later so I don't have to rush around.

My Ass Is Huge!

*Yawn and stretch*

Yep, I just did that. It's cool in here this morning. Feels like fall
already. I love it! And I didn't have to get up at the ass crack of dawn!
Ya see, when the munchkin person stays at her dad's, he takes her to
school on Mondays. And I don't mind one bit.
Less of a Manic Monday for me.

Are you dying to know how my weekend was? I bet your sweet little faces that you do!
It was boring at best. Boring in a good way though.

Friday I worked. Yay for me. And then I hung out with boyfriend after work.
He went to bed early so I watched tv. Not really exciting huh.

Oh, wait, there is an exciting thing about Friday.
I ALMOST DIED.
Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit.
But the thought did cross my mind.
See when I left for work Friday afternoon the sky was looking a lot grey.
In fact I watched it go from blue to dark and scary in 5 minutes.
Seriously. No exaggeration there.
But I had to go to work.
And it started raining and being realllllly windy.
So, I went the way I was comfortable with.
This also happens to be the way to boyfriend's house. I'm not
about to be driving in some rain with some roads I don't feel comfortable around.
The wind got crazy and then settled down. But now I was
driving in pouring down hard rain.
I got about 7 minutes away from work when I had to pull over.
The sky had turned almost black and the rain was so hard I couldn't see 3 feet in
front of me. So I pull into a truck stop. Truck stop also happens to be about 2 blocks away
from boyfriend's work. I pull up next to the gas pump and start thinking.
I can feel my car moving from the wind, I can't hear anything but rain.
I'm a big sissy girl when it comes to storms. Ya see, when a tornado hits close to home,
you tend to be a little paranoid. On top of the fact that I was already a litte paranoid.
I get on fb to see what everybody is saying because ya know fb is like the weather channel.
Everybody tells you what's going on outside.
That's when I read that the winds were 70-79 MPH. Yeah, miles
per hour. And that's when I started thinking I was probably going to die.
In my car.
Alone.
On my way to work.
I was scared.
But I did end up making it to work and we ended up getting busy.

This is probably what I looked like the entire time. Panicked.

Yes, I did wear pajamas. No, I don't knit.

Saturday, I worked a double. And it wasn't too bad. Although I was
grumpy for my morning shift. And because I was grumpy
I got to go on break for an hour. Yay! I went to eat at good ol' Mickey D's.
Only because it's n
ext door to work. I got chicken nuggets and proceeded to sit by myself
in the corner. Because I was grumpy and wanted to be left alone.
And then this annoying family of 5 sat down beside me. I wanted to pull my hair out.
So...I jetted next door to Starbucks!
And no, unfortunately I didn't have a pumpkin spice latte.
I don't enjoy coffee so I didn't dare try it. What if I hated it?
But I did have some AMAZING pumpkin bread.
See when I got to work, the weather felt just like it does at our little
fall festival called Maple Leaf. And because I work around 4 or 5 other restaurants it smelled
like it too. Therefore, I needed pumpkin bread to help bring in the fall.

After work I wound up getting to see my lovely wife. We went to good ol' Pizza Slut Hut for me to
grab some dinner. Because she's the only person I will ever eat in front of.
I fear no judgement from this girl.
I wanted pasta. Yeah, I work at Olive Garden but I just didn't want to pay them or sit
there any longer than I had to.
I invited the boyfriend but he was sick. Or so he says. He was helping his
boyfriend best friend move and didn't seem sick to me but whatever!
Girl dinner was great!
And then I went to see him and lived happily ever after for the night.

I was off work Sunday. And I was supposed to go to a wedding.
But boyfriend was sick. And it was somebody he works with so I wasn't about to go
alone. Oh, yeah, and the Bride of said wedding came to Olive Garden Saturday night
and I just so happened to be the one that got to seat her.
I told her we would be there. So now I probably look like a giant liar.
Story of my life I think. So Sunday since I was off I sat around in jammies all day.
And gained about 5 pounds of fat. Because I ate...all day long. Like a freaking mad woman.
I don't do that very often, but it was fun. I stuffed my face!
For lunch there was homemade beef stroganoff with homemade rolls. OMG yum.
I went back for seconds on the roll, so that I could gain body rolls too.
Then boyfriend bought a package of cookies. I ate about six too many. But they were sooo good.
We munched out on a box of Hot and Spicy Cheezits. Then some friends of his parents came over to play cards and they brought a deli tray! I love deli trays. I can't stay away from them. Especially the
cheese. So I had some of that. Then I munched out on grapes...at least they were healthy.
A bag of hot cheetos and about 4 more cookies were consumed by night's end.
And it was a little bag of cheetos. I'm still munching on them this morning.
Although I can eat a whole bag by myself.
I told you...Sunday needed a warning label like "Might cause obesity or a heart attack."
And I watched football....Allllll day long. See, I like football.
And I want to watch football games, but only if I care about (or really don't like) the teams
playing. And only two out five (Yes FIVE) football games were even remotely interesting.
I watched the KC Chiefs lose. Which resulted in me tormenting boyfriend because he loves them.
And then I watched the Saints lose. That made me sad. I like the Saints.

Just some of the food I had. I'm not a great blogger in the sense of photography.
I don't remember to take pictures of everything.
Thanks Pinterest for being there when I forget!

I was trying to get a picture of boyfriend and his fat cat. They're more buddy
buddy than most guys and cats and I love it!
Boyfriend refuses to let me take his picture most of the time.

Pretty Little Letters

It's weird to write a post. I had today's post written yesterday. I feel a day behind. lol. I haven't done Friday's Letters in a few weeks, so I decided I would.

Dear School, I can't believe that we are already at the end of our third week. WTF? Where did the first two go? Please slow down a little. I still haven't gotten a routine out of you. Grrr.

Dear Girl at Work, I love you but hold the fuck up. This is 2 Saturdays in a row that you've asked me to take your hosting shift. I don't mind but I do. I need the hours, so it's ok. But don't go getting all used to it. I don't want this to become a weekly thing. I'll be working another double this Saturday when technically I should only be working the morning shift. Please please please don't ask next week. I think you're pretty awesome and can't/shouldn't tell you no.

Dear Work, I know that I can't really write a lot about you on here. Just know that I'm working all these hours and extra shifts to prove that I want things. Things like more hours and maybe hopefully to crosstrain early next year. You can be a pain in the ass and some people there really need to get in check and stop being assholes. If only I had the balls to call them out.

Dear Auntie, I'm so sorry for everything going on. I don't know why life is being so hard on you right now and it's complete bullshit. I would wipe all this ish away if I could. Just know I'm always hear to talk. I love you.

Dear Self, You actually accomplished 3 posts this week! If only everything else could go as smooth. It would be great. Take a look at your inspiration board on Pinterest more often.

Dear Fall, I'm glad you're around the corner! But you should have been here like ummmm.... 6 days ago. At least in my book. I hope you come in fast and strong though.

Source: via Amanda on Pinterest

Dear Readers, I love each and everyone of you!!!! Please comment more. lol. I love comments. Love the interaction with you guys. I want to know you better!!!! And I'm sorry I haven't been very funny lately. I seem to be funnier when life is smoother. I really like my kinda funny posts better.

Dear Cowboys, You did it!!!! You beat the reigning Super Bowl Champs. WOOT!!! Now, keep this shit up all year. I mean you Mr. Romo. Don't start throwing the games at the end like last season. I'm not kidding. Why does Jerry Jones even like you? Blahh.

Dear Weekend, yay for you! Although I work a double Saturday....hooray for you! I get Sunday off and that fucking rocks. I'll be at a wedding that day. Hopefully I take a lot of pictures. This is the boyfriend and I's first wedding together. Free booze and food...I'm down. I mean I'm happy for the couple...but I don't really know them. They belong to the boyfriend. He works with them. Anyway weekend...be relaxing.

On that note...I'm out of here kiddies. Busy day....See ya on the flip side!

America's Favorite Team!

So I don't know if you know this but I LOVE the Dallas Cowboys!
It's a family thing.

Incase you missed it we just won the first game of the season!
Again the reigning Superbowl champs.

BOOM.
Sorry, I have to gloat. I'm excited.
