Eat a Snickers

Hola cupcakes. I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I'm glad it's over. I'm finally off after two long ass doubles at work. I literally worked open to close yesterday. And I served allllll day. My bones were hurting something bad when I got off work.

Anyway...so remember when I told you that my first fantasy football draft was Saturday? Well, it was. And it was quite the experience. I think manfriend really loves me because there were a couple of tantrums thrown. Ooops. =)

Saturday started out with me getting up and really wanting Red Lobster or Carinos (we don't have a lot of good non chain restaurants. I'm jealous of all of you who do) so I text the boy and said when he wakes up we were going to eat so be ready. And I waited. And waited. And then continued to wait. Finally at two in the afternoon I go back to his house and hes awake! I'm like "Um, thanks for the text. Are you ready to go eat?" Then he tells me that he already ate. I lost it. I was just like a Snickers commercial. I was so hungry that I was turning into a crazy lady. To say I was pissed was an understatement. He didn't even bother to look at his phone. Rude! And I pouted and moped for about an hour. I wouldn't even talk to him for like 15 minutes. I was ridiculous. But I was hungry dammit! So, I settled for some Chic-fil-a because duh. Who doesn't love their chicken?

I had to. Hilarious. Only one more month!

The draft brought out the diva in me again. I'm a perfectionist and need to know everything about anything I'm attempting to do. I'm also a procrastinator and put off everything until the last minute. So I had done zero research about football. And the man couldn't answer my questions so I just about put my picks on auto draft. But I researched my ass off for an hour before it was time. While I didn't feel ready, I did feel better. Next year won't be as hard. I got a pretty good team - I think. Unfortunately I didn't get any Cowboys. I know you're not supposed to pick just from your team but dammit I wanted at least one player. But I got a good qb. Cam Newton please play well!

We were supposed to do the draft at a party but it was online and we didn't want to drag our laptops to a party and then have to worry about them. So we hung out at home and had some beer. I got to try my Pumking that I was dying to try. And unfortunately, we didn't get along so well. I wanted to like it so bad and I didn't. I about cried. I had it all set in my mind about how it would taste. It would be a malty beer that was kind of sweet and tasted just like pumpkin pie. It wasn't. The first drink wasn't so bad. But the end taste and the after taste are what got to me. It was kind of sour. I can't really describe it except strong and sour. Which isn't even a word. I need to learn more about beer so I can accurately describe it. But Blake loved it so it wasn't wasted!

My sad face about it.
And I don't know if you heard the news yet...I don't even know if you care but it's my mission to stay up to date on pop culture so I must report. 50 Shades of Grey is officially gonna be a movie. And they've casted it. Now, I know somewhere on here I talked about how my homeboy Alexander Skarsgard should be Christian Grey. I think he would be perfection. However, Hollywood doesn't give a shit what I think is perfection. They picked my other homeboy. Who you ask? Well, none other than the hottie mchotterson Charlie Hunnam. Although I'm appreciative of him and all his glory that will be shown in this movie, I don't really know if he was right for the part. Even when he cleans up, he still looks dirty. And that's perfectly fine by me. But Christian Grey is not a dirty guy. I don't know if I can picture Charlie all business savvied and what not. We shall see!

I drooled a little. Mmmmm.

10 Things...

If you're tired of VMA talk...well I'm sorry. I just didn't wanna blog yesterday because I was actually doing something productive for once. Write that shit down.

So VMA's...something I watch every year. Something I've watched every year for as long as I can remember. I love them. I remember when MTV still played music videos. I remember making the video, TRL with Carson Daly (that's important). That probably means I'm too old for MTV now and days. But I still have to watch. I gotta keep up on the teen pornstars moms yo! I need to experience the culture of West Virginia and their crazy ass antics. Let's not forget about Catfish...my wife doesn't even know what it is. She needs to watch MTV.

So...here's my list of thoughts on the VMA's this year.

1. Fuck yes I was watching for N*SYNC. Was there anybody out there besides my wife who wasn't? And I'm not ashamed but there were tears. I told you I'm a crier. My mom even called me out on crying over the phone after we watched it. The 11 year old me was pumped. The 22 year old me was even more pumped. They paved the way for the rest of the so called boy bands. I'm looking at you One Direction.

2. Kanye...what can you say about him. I'm not sure I like him as a man but as a rapper he's a genius. The only person that can get away with being called Yeesus. Why was he hiding in the dark the whole time?

3. Katy Perry sang that song Snore...I mean Roar. I'm not a fan. Never have been and don't think I will be. The winner of that fight may have been her, but Russell won the whole divorce. I mean it was just a snoozefest of a finale. I was really disappointed. I thought there would have been explosions or fireworks or something. Nope. Nothing.

4. Bruno Mars was interesting. See, I don't listen to the radio. I don't listen to a lot of music on Songza that isn't country. I'm not a snob, I just don't like change. I like Bruno. I enjoy everything he's done but Grenade. I've never heard a song from him unless it was on the radio. So as far as I was concerned, he didn't sing a lot about gorilla sex. That song was just fucking weird. I like it but I felt awkward listening to it with anybody around. I think my head was tilted to the side the entire time he was performing. But he did a great job. I love listening to him sing.

5. From ramen noodle hair to Hollywood hottie, Justin has done it all. And last night was amazing. They should have just let him perform for Katy too. He's Justin Timberlake. I think he had it right when he said he still runs this bitch. Yes sir, you do. And I had a great tweet to it. Ok, the tweet wasn't great but my hashtag was. And I would love it if it somehow found it's way to Sami's twitter recap. *hint hint* Kidding. Not really.

6.  Why wasn't there a host? That part left me baffled. The whole show was thrown off to me. I mean, we don't even have to use Kevin Hart ever again because he made fun of N*SYNC, but we need somebody to hold it all together.

7. Little girls shouldn't be allowed to vote for anything. Robin Thicke, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Pink, Rihanna, and Fun were robbed of awards last night. I know that some of them got some but man for the most part it was less than talented "singers" winning. No thanks.

8. Taylor Swift still can't dance. Maybe she should take some lessons from Miley. At least her surprise face was gone though. It only took like 6 years. Maybe we only have a few left until she learns new dance moves. And why was the camera guy always shooting back to her. Nobody cares.

9. Then there was Miley. I didn't hate it. It was raunchy. But it's what she wanted. She got attention. It wasn't positive attention but it was attention. I say get it girl. Do your thing because you rocked it. Do some squats too though. And stop kissing and grinding on married dudes. I don't care if you hump inanimate objects or twerk, just leave married guys alone. He has kids!

10. Let's all boycott the VMAs next year. I bet they won't compare to this year. And we're too old to watch this shit anyway. Seriously, do you know who any of those newbies were? I didn't.

When I'm Famous

Happy Monday y'all! It's my day off. Ahhhhh. lol. Work wasn't bad this weekend. Some drama got started that involves me, which is stupid because I don't even really talk to anybody at work. And that reason is exactly why. We hung out with some friends Saturday night and I felt like shit Sunday night. Not a hangover though. Just sickly. And there's your weekend recap. I really really don't like them. If I give an actual weekend recap with pictures and everything, well then I had a super duper ultra mega awesome weekend. Like the one I'll have in two weeks. Holla!

Anyway, I was watching something on Fuse about Beyonce and last night the boy and I were talking about Jay-Z. And all this talk of the two got me thinking about who my our celebrity couple friends would be. Let's get started.

Blake and Miranda
I picked this pic because then we'd be friends with Kid too. Saweet!

I mean, who doesn't want to be best friends with these two. And they are certainly like us. They like nothing better than some barbecue and some beers. I just can't. I can't. I love em so much.

Jay-Z and Beyonce

Who runs the world? They do. Beyonce just said girls to make everybody feel better. True story. She told me. Although I don't think we'd have a lot in common, we would still hang. Front and center at basketball games. And our kids would be best friends forever. We would help them take over the universe, not that they need much help.

Steven and Anna

These two...I mean she's gorgeous and he seems like a cool dude. We love True Blood and they are True Blood. Can't complain. When we'd hangout we'd drink some blood red drinks and invite Alexander Skarsgard over. True story. I think I say that a lot.

Willie and Korie

Ummm of course! And the entire Robinson clan too. We love them. I'd let her take me shopping and the boy would love to hunt with them. And of course Sunday night dinner...I couldn't resist Miss Kay's cooking.

Erin and Whitney

If I'm famous than obviously these two will already have been for many years. This one benefits me more than the boy. Oh well! They could teach me all their fun ways and make me drink fireball even though I hate cinnamon with a passion. And it might be creepy for including them in this post but I just love them that much.

And I'd have a big old barbecue and invite everybody. We'd have a great time. Don't worry, when the time comes you'll be invited too because I love your faces.

See ya tomorrow cupcakes. Peace
