I Can't Come Up With Anything Original

Yesterday should forever be remembered as the day I got it together. Not a joke in anyway! i got up yesterday morning, went to the post office, I've done a lot of homework, scheduled appointments, and turned in some things I needed to turn in. Hallelujah  It feels so good to be a normal adult. Not procrastinating and not doing stuff I should be doing. Hopefully I can get it together and be more *gasp* responsible. Shhh...don't say that word too loud, it's kind of scary.

Anyway...like I told you Friday, I was off of work this past weekend and boy was it nice. I didn't even have to request it off, it was just given to me. And I got Monday off too. Three day weekend - Holla!!

Friday I did the usual, work. I worked a double and I don't ever wanna work a double on Good Friday ever again. Friday doubles are supposed to be easy peasy and relaxing. Not this shit. Kids were out of school and parents felt lazy I guess so we were pretty busy all day long.

Saturday was great! I woke up planning to do all kinds of stuff but did nothing but couch surf my afternoon away. I love being a bum. I know I had homework to do but I just needed to turn off for the day. So that's what I did. I knew it was time to get around though. I had to run into the dark abyss of the world Walmart to find something for mini for Easter from the bunny - which she doesn't believe in. More on that later. I was grumpy and ultra super emotional. Womp womp...all my ladies know why. So because I felt like a terrible mom for buying Easter presents the night before Easter I had a mini meltdown with my mom at Walmart. But at least I wasn't in my sweat pants! I ended up buying some stuff and regretting it because I saw all the other kids' baskets on fb and felt terrible for not making her one. I just bought some clothes for her. Next year I vow to do better and start earlier. After that it was time to go get the man and go out! Yes, that's right, I went out. Momma, Boyfriend, and I went to Kitchen Pass (a hole in the wall with amazing birthday cake shots) to watch her friends' bands play. First up was The Rampaging Sons of the Widow James...yeah that's the whole name. Why would anybody name their band something that long? Beats the piss outta me. Then it was time for Dirty Deeds - an AC/DC cover band! They rocked!!

The Madre and I

I felt special having my name on something reserved!

Ignore my weird facial structure.

Just a picture.

If my video ever finishes uploading to Youtube, I'll put it on here. If not, well, I hate Youtube so whatever. My shit never works right.

I drank a lot and proceeded to have a wonderful evening with my family! I love being a happy drunk. I'm not always but this time I was and life was good. We had a wonderful evening.

Then it was Easter! It was Teagan's dad's holiday so I didn't get to wake up with her. That shit is so weird and hard sometimes. Anyway, Madre, Madre's Madre, Boyfriend and I all went to Golden Coral for lunch. Classy, I know. My grandma was gonna cook but her hunnie had a migrane and it was just easier to go out to eat. The food was just so so. Don't ever go to restaurants on holidays. It's not going to be as great as it could be! But I did have a cool cookie.

See, pretty awesome huh!

My mom's disgusted face at some kind of pie. I died a little.

After lunch Boyfriend and I headed back to his place so I could relish in some afternoon hangover napping. Which never happened. Sad face. Then Teagan's dad decided that I could have her for the afternoon so I jumped in my car and picked her up. She looked so cute and grown up. I need a way to stop that shit. We went home, did the Easter thing there. That's when I learned about the bunny. I asked if she was ready to see what the bunny brought her and she said something along the line of well, what you got me but we pretend it's from the Easter bunny. He's not real. I just said ok. And then harassed her about Santa. I don't think she believes in him either but she wouldn't outright say it. She's only 5! How can she already not believe?? Oh well, one less lie to tell her. I got my basket, she got hers. We were happy. Then we went to my dad's for his side of the family's Easter. He grilled some ribs and hamburgers but made these awesome sauce baked potatoes that I went to town on. MMM so good. We gabbed and played until 8 when I realized I really needed to get Teag back to her dad's. This is the only pic I got of her and it's not even mine. This is her with her sister. Blogger fail, but at least I got one at all! On the ride home I let her sit in the front because I get tired of being a damn taxi lady. She passed out and in that moment, I wished that time would have stopped. I wish that I could have held her hand and just enjoyed that moment.

Have a great Tuesday cupcakes! I've got school today and I close at work. Womp womp. Love your faces!

My Sweet Valentine

It's Valentine's Week my Birthday week! Yay for me. =) My birthday week also includes the fabulous/not so fabulous holiday of Valentine's Day. Oh...and before we get on to that if you wanna send me some fabulous gifts/cards/whatever be sure to ask for my address ;).

So Valentine's Day brings up love. And I thought today was the perfect day to talk about the boy the man. The main man in my life (besides my wonderful dad and my hunnie's kitty cat!) has been by my side for 3 long wonderful years. Just so you know, it's gonna get gushy up in here.

I was sitting on the couch the other night thinking how much I love him and how far our relationship has come. It sure as hell hasn't been all rainbows, butterflies, and unicorns. We've fought. Fought for our relationship, fought each other, just plain out had some fights about everything. But we've come out stronger through it all.

I love him and he's pretty much smitten with me. He calls me out on my bullshit, when I'm acting like a brat, but he's there when I need him. He lets me cry on his shoulder and hugs me and tells me it will all be ok. And there's happiness. A lot of happiness! We laugh and play like we're teenagers who just fell in love for the first time. He's taught me to have a sense of humor, how to do things that I never thought I would. He's helped me mature. When we met, I was a typical 18 year old. Full of jealousy, irrationalness, drama, etc. And I've learned how to get over it all. It's great! And yeah, I get irritated by his manly habits like leaving the damn socks all over the floor, but I deal with it by leaving my shit on the floor too. No, not really but it would be funny.

Then there's mini. The way he accepts mini as his own makes me feel wonderful. I'm not going to lie, I was super worried about this whole thing. Every mother that dates does. And she wasn't opening up to him for a long time when we first got together. But three years later she adores him and he adores her too. They make my heart feel whole. Our little family. I'm ready for family pictures to be hung up on our walls. But we have to get a place to live first. Woof!

So I'm ready for Valentine's day. I have the most awesome valentine out there.

Let's Get Christmas-y

We're gonna get Christmasy so if you're a scrooge or a grinch sorry!

First things first I joined Autumn's second Blog Friend Package Swap. This month's theme was Christmas ornaments! I knew that I had to do it because I love Christmas and making presents for other people. I was partnered with Holli and this girl got me awesome stuff! She got me down to a t! It also helped that we enjoyed the same Christmas stuff. Here is the fabulousness that she sent me.

Aren't they adorable! I think she did great.

Last night the little diva had her school's Christmas program. They do it every year and sing the same songs every year. Thank goodness my kid is cute and sassy other wise this would have been boring. Here are a few of the pictures I took. Unfortunately they were all taken with my phone because my camera was at boyfriend's house.

Here she is in front of her Grammy's tree (my gma). That crazy lady has presents under that bish already!

Here she is singing to her little heart's content.

Look at that face. She was sassing me from a far.

We've decked our halls too! I've wanted to show you guys for awhile but haven't had the energy to post. But I'm all good today. In my house we all have our own trees. Yes, it is kind of selfish but yes it is fun.

This is mine. I adore it to pieces. It's very original. I know that it's kind of crooked which pisses me off but nothing I can do. Pieces got thrown away. But it's beautiful!

Here it is all lit up. So much prettier!

This is the wreath of all wreaths. I love it. And because of this I will always have a wreath up for everything! And I have so many i want to try and make.

This is just a tree. It's cute.

My mom's silver tree. With her favorite kind of ornaments on it.

And last but certainly not least...the little's tree. Over decorated and everything! And it's the same height she is so she decorated it all herself. This is where my sentimental ornaments hang. Ones that my momma and I have collected while I was growing up.

And our stockings. From left to right momma's, mine, little's, and Trixie's.
Mine and Teagan's don't really match our personalities so I'm on the look out for new ones.
And I'm getting boyfriend one this year. Since stockings are kinda my favorite part, I decided I needed to!

And there you have it, our decor. There's some more but it's just figurines and such. I could have gotten a lot more done but we decided that we don't need to have the crazy holiday house. But don't worry...when we get our own it's on!

December Goals

Since I've written about food two days in a row (shows what I really care about in life) I thought that I would link up with Miss Angie for my final goals of the year...wow...That's weird to say. 2012 is almost gone and 2013 is almost here. Ahh!

Let's Recap
- Buy at least one gift a week for Christmas - I don't think so.
I mean I got a few and I have a lot of ideas. I guess kinda

- Cook at home at least 3 times a week - I did at least twice a week =)
Better than nothing.

- Pay $20 off my credit card every week - Not twenty every week but some. Until Black Friday.
Next time...there will be better research done.

- Find something for the month of December like a Christmas countdown or RAK - fail.
Now looking for something for the 12 days of Christmas that we can do. Not enough planning on my part.

- Keep up with my school work - I don't wanna talk about it. I'm not taking anymore online classes unless I have to. For sure.

- Buy Boyfriend's bday present by November 30 - Didn't happen. Boy buys himself whatever he wants
whenever he wants it. Makes it hard to buy him stuff.

So it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. I'll take what I can get.

December Goals

- Get Christmas cards sent out by Dec 15

- Enjoy this season

- Start planning resolutions. Make sensible ones this time

That's it. With it being December and the Holidays...I just want to enjoy it. No stress. Ok, that's a lie. The whole season is stressful but I want it to be less stressful. As easy as I can make it for myself and others around me.

Look forward to a post telling you all about the things that 2013 will bring us! I can't wait to do that.
Have a great December!

My Food...

It's Tuesday and I feel like death. Missouri weather can't make up it's damn mind on what it's going to be like outside and that really irritates me. Because then I get all sinusy and feel like death. 75 and windy yesterday and when I woke up it was 43 and sunny. I don't mind the cold and I'm glad it came but come on, ease in to it so us sicklies don't get sick!

Tonight the kiddo and I were supposed to be in the Christmas parade for my work but I don't think I want to now. I don't want to sit in the cold for two hours when I already feel like death. And yeah, I feel bad about telling her we were doing it and then not going but I think she's ok with it because I told her that we could put up our Christmas decorations tonight =) And that makes me happy! Side note to all new parents or people who might be parents some day *When you plan on doing something exciting with your kids, don't tell them just incase you back out. It doesn't always end well*

I know that all 4 of you who actually read this of you fabulous readers are dying to know about my crockpopt buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese! I think it turned out pretty good! However, there are things I will change when I make it again.

I started off with this recipe but really modified it to make it my own.

Ingredients
- Chicken breats
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp ranch dressing
- Parmesan cheese ( I don't know how much I just used whatever looked good)
- Bag of mild cheddar
- 1 3/4 cup milk
- More milk as to liking
- Half bottle Frank's Red Hot Wing Sauce
- Chalula (hot sauce)

You put the chicken breasts, garlic, dressing, 1 3/4 cup milk, wing sauce, and parmesan cheese in the crockpot on high for 3-4 hours or until your chicken falls apart with barely any effort on your part.
After I shredded the chicken I added my noodles (uncooked of course, this is about easyness) and my cheddar cheese. And more milk. And then some more, and a little bit more. Basically you add it until you think it's the right consistency. I added my hot sauce in at this time to. Then continue to cook it on high until the noodles are tender. Tada! Then stuff your face.

Pretty easy, like I said. Now for my changes
- I'm not adding ranch next time
- I'm not using shredded cheese, I'm using velveeta
- More garlic or something of the sort

It just wasn't cheesy enough for me. My macaroni and cheese has to be super super super cheesy. And I couldn't taste the ranch so basically it was un-needed calories and I think it took some of the spicy away.

And my last tip...Crockpot liners. Yep, I just went there. Seriously it's like a litter box liner but for your crockpot. The crockpot doesn't ever get dirty. WINNING.

After dinner it was time for the Christmas parade in the town I live in. It was actually decent and had some pretty neat floats. It was better than the Maple Leaf parade this year! Except for Santa. They had a terrible Santa. He was skinny and you could tell his beard and hair were fake. You could see his black hair poking out. Seriously, in this town we have enough overweight old guys that look like Santa. Pick a better one next year! I'd show you the only picture I took but I don't have my phone cord. Maybe later!

Picky Eating

I was totally going to hop on the Christmas wishlist today. And I was going to create my own Polyvore set to show it to you guys. Then I couldn't make a template look right and couldn't find a pre-made template that I liked either -.-

That's Polyvore - 1, Chloe - 0

So if any of you out there are Polyvore experts please help a girl out.

My weekend consisted of working. In case you haven't gotten it that's what I do most weekends. Therefore, there's never a weekend update unless there happens to be something exciting going on. Not here this weekend!

I've been on the hunt for a buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese crockpot recipe. Do you know how hard it is to find one of those that sounds good?? It's not very easy. Everything has so many steps and all kinds of stuff I don't want in it. Making the recipe harder than it should be. And when it comes to my crockpot, I don't do hard. That's the joy of crockpot cooking, that everything is supposed to be easy. I actually have requirements for this recipe too

- I don't have to cook the chicken before
- I don't have to cook the noodles before
- No veggies
- Not a billion types of cheeses

I'm a little picky. I'll admit it. And because of said requirements, I can't find a decent recipe. So I've decided to use some details from a whole bunch of them and add in my own ideas to. I've never made my *own* recipe before. I'm really good at following them though, so hopefully this turns out ok, other wise taco hell will gain some of my hard earned green tonight!

I'll be back tomorrow to let you know how it went!

Look At This!

Good Morning Cupcakes! Hope y'all can quickly adjust to going back to the daily grind! And I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! I missed this spot and thought about you all alot but so much was going on that I just couldn't bear to open my laptop. We have a lot of catching up to do. This post will probably be all over the place.

My Thanksgiving was really good. It was spent with my dad's side of the family and for once we all managed to get a long. See, that's a miracle. We're all outspoken and a little crazy so yeah, good deal for us. I drank some wine (maybe more than I should have) and it was delish! The food was really good. I don't like turkey and this turkey was the most moist flavorful turkey ever! I didn't take any pictures though. Sorry. Thanksgiving night wasn't the best though, my fur-sister had to be put down that night. I feel so sad for my dad and step-mom. Lucy was only 6 years old and she was amazing. There were lots of tears shed when this decision was reached. Until I see her again, I'll be seeing her in my dreams.

Teag and me. I did actually get one picture!

I was also a crazy and went out to Black Friday shop Thursday evening. The fact that it was on Thursday evening irritates me but that's a different post for another day. I took the wife, boyfriend and mi madre. We hightailed it to our local Walmart about 730. Sales started at 8 and I pretty much got what I wanted. I can't complain. Except some guy duped me and handed me the wrong season of TrueBlood. -.- That shit sucks. Boyfriend's crazy ass sat in line for a tv for almost 3 hours. He got it though! Not that we needed a tv. What is it about guys that they don't want something unless it's on sale? We don't need the tv. At all. But it was cheaper than normal so he HAD to have it. Whatever. lol. I looked at my receipt last night and learned that I didn't get some deals like I thought I did. So next year I will be doing more research because I spent way too much money to not get good deals.

Yeah I look like hell. Please excuse mr photo bomber back there!

Now, onto some awesome bloggy business! Awhile ago the awesome Natalie who runs Oh Emm Gee had a mug swap. I got paired with Annie at Annie Mayzing and she sent me the cutest mug!

isn't this cute! She made sure my package was fun to look at.

My adorable mug =)

A cute message on a clover shaped card...she paid attention ;)

and the teas she love that she gave as favors at her wedding

Thank you Miss Annie! And thanks Natalie! It was fun.

Kailyn at Wandering Free  and Jessica at Living My FairyTale decided that they would start a bloggy bookclub. I was super excited when I read about this idea so of course I signed up. We're reading Heart on a Chain. It's interesting. I had wanted to read it before this so again, I was excited. My review will come on December 17! Come link up for the next book =)

I think that's all for today cupcakes! Maybe I'll have an actual post tomorrow. lol.

Letters for Friday

It's been awhile since we've done Friday's Letters soooo why not?

Dear Boyfriend, I don't like the x-box. I love you though so I put up with it. Please find a new toy. lol. Sunday better not be spent attached to that thing. I'll karate chop you.

Dear Paychecks, Why can't you multiply before you hit my account. I'd like you more than I already do. Pretty pretty please??

Dear Teagan, Girllll...you missed three days of school last week, didn't have school on Monday, missed school today, and you don't have school next week. Jeeeez! It's a good thing it's only preschool.  Oh and I will miss you while you're gone next week. =( Have fun seeing auntie though!

Dear Work, Let's just get through tonight and the double tomorrow. PLEASE take it easy on me. But make it go by fast. I'm off Sunday and I'm ready to relax.

Dear Sunday, I say relax but that isn't going to happen. I've got a lot of homework to catch up on. So please go by rather slowly k!

Dear Thanksgiving, Ahh you're less than a week away. Come on and get here because I need an excuses to do nothing. Not even blog. Can't wait for you! I get to see my family and munch out! What's better than that? Oh and then you're followed by a day of cheap cheap shopping. Hells yes.

Dear School, I'm so over you. So over you. Blah.

Dear Weekend, I wish I could be more excited about you. True story.

Dear Blog Friends, I love your faces! You guys rock and I love hearing from you. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend full of excitingness that doesn't include working! Kisses!

Photobucket
I couldn't find the friday's letters button. but this takes you there!
I think this is appropriate today. But just remember I do love him and this is a joke!

Currently

Monday...it's been easy because of the time change. But it's also a sad day. Boyfriend's dog passed away in the middle of the night. Keep him in your thoughts if you would. Unfortunately, this was the third dog this year that he's lost.

And let's go onward wit something not so sad...I did nothing this weekend! There's your weekend round up. I was off all weekend and it was my weekend with Teagan so we hung out. I actually did do something! Saturday afternoon I went to my dad's to celebrate my littlest sister's birthday. She's the big 14 now! Ugh I'm old. Blahhhhhh. It's always a good time over there and I really need to go see him more. =)

There's the weekend round up kids! Since this is short I thought I'd do a Currently post. I've wanted to this for awhile so this morning when I saw that Amanda at Pretty Little Endeavors had done a currently post I figured that it was a good time since I have NOTHING else to blog about. hahaha. Yeah, I do have something else to post about but I've already started them to post later this week! Go me right. We'll see if they actually get written and posted or not.

HK

Anticipating...
Thanksgiving and Black Friday. You'd think that I could calm down but nope...as soon as November gets here these are on my mind until the day! I'm super excited for Thanksgiving because I'm not working for sure because I work at a place that believes in being closed on those two days. AMEN. I love spending it with my family and food going straight to my ass stuffing my face. Combining my two favorite things...family and food.  I'm already looking at ads, not spending money, paying my credit card bill every week just to shop good deals and Christmas presents. =)

Buying...
de nada. At least I'm trying. I bought some stuff for breakfast and drinks for boyfriend and I for lunch but I'm trying to not spend any money this weeks except for bills and gas. Trying not to take my car out too much either. Ahhh I hate saving money.

Needing...
to start my couch to 5-k program. Yep...I'm gonna do it. Stop drinking pop too. And redbull...=( story on that another day. And I'm needing to not spend any money until Friday.

Thinking...
about boyfriend and his dog. Makes my heart break. She stayed in the room we hang out in and now it's so lonely without her.
How I need to start buying christmas presents because I need to get started now. I know what I want for some people but not everybody.
I don't want to go to work.

Halloween!

I missed you guys! Hope you missed me. We had the funeral Monday and yesterday I wasn't around a computer. I haven't even been commenting very much =(. Sad sad. But hopefully now I'm back in full blogger mode...we shall see.

I already told y'all what the weekend was supposed to look like for me but unfortunately it didn't go as planned. We didn't do the Cure for Cancer run =(. It's a long story. There's always next year! I spent my Saturday prepping for the Halloween party! It was extremely fun. Wife and I had to go shopping to finalize her costume for the FOURTH time because she won't listen to me. It's good though. lol. Wife, Boyfriend, and I had a blast. She hadn't drank in two months so she got lit realllllly fast. It was great! Boyfriend and I won the costume contest =). He won for scariest and I won sexiest. It was really unexpected! Take a look!

Our costumes =) Bride and Groom
Don't mind my weird face and my mother's messy room =)

Again

Out of focus shot of boyfriend and I

Our friend Lydia was a doll with rotting flesh

Our friend dressed as Katniss

Any time I tried to take a picture of us that night they were out of focus.
UGH.

Our party hosts passed out...it was 5 in the morning.

Yep, a great party that lasted until 5 in the morning. Fucking awesome! Oh...we had to pee outside. That wasn't too fun. Until I got drunk and then I didn't mind. Lots of more pictures on my instagram. Follow me @ clovermarie!

Today is Halloween and I just got an awesome phone call saying that somebody will close for me at work tonight. =) I don't have to rush around with the baybay now. I get to enjoy her company! But it is Wednesday so she has to go to her dad's for a couple of hours. I'll watch a scary something, hand out candy, and drink some vino!

And it's also my third anniversary with boyfriend. Hence why we get excited for Halloween. I love him =) Unfortunately we don't get to celebrate tonight but hopefully we can go out this weekend. Maybe I can get him to go to the haunted trail down the road with me tonight. A girl can dream.

I'll be back tomorrow with some pictures of the kid and something about saying No in November! No more hints than that no. Peace out kiddies.

Eat some candy for me!

I'm linking up with Shane from Whispering Sweet Nothings for her Halloween Link Up Party!
