I hope you all had a great long weekend. I'm glad it's over because I'm finally getting my Memorial Day off work!
So I have some great news, I finally found my new car!
I bought an '08 Chevy Cobalt. She's absolutely beautiful. She's a dark charcoal grey color. Yes, my last car was a cobalt but I was test driving some and it still felt right. There were so many problems with mine that I didn't know what a cobalt was really like. And I'm just gonna say, I LOVE it.
I found it online Wednesday night while drinking with the wife and fiance. If I would have known that being drunk was all it took to find a car I would have done it a lot sooner. Because 3 weeks of car shopping is really like 3 months in regular time. I found it, showed it to Blake, and told him my plan on how I was going to get it the next day.
So I woke up with a huge headache and proceeded on with my plan. I made my way over to my bank and put in my loan app. I drove over to the dealership and test drove the car. I loved it and wanted the bank to call me asap. So I left with just a little disappointment looming over me because I had to leave without the car I really wanted. I was headed to Sonic for .50 corndogs (because I love food, and cheap food is better) when I had a voicemail pop up. My phone never rang probably because Sprint sucks, so I listened to it. It was my banker calling to say that the loan was in closing and to come to the bank whenever I could. Right then and there I lost it. I was so happy/relieved/excited that I just started crying. I cried a lot. The banker was happy that I was so excited.
I must have done something right though. I now have xm radio. And not just a trial. Whoever owned pretty car last had it and has yet to cancel it. I guess technically it's stealing but hey, I'll take it while I can. They should have cancelled their service. =)
One last thing, I'm trying to name her. Any suggestions?

About That Week...
So I already explained why last week was horrible. And sometimes you think that things can't get worse. But they can.
In a laugh-about-it-because-it's-over kind of way. lol.
Last week I was on route to the hospital. I was just jammin down the interstate listening to some Luke (of course) when I go to turn my blinker on to get in the other lane. And you know what happened? The blinker stick thing broke right in half. It fell off and went flying to the floor. My jaw just dropped. Like wtf, is this some real shit? I wasn't impressed. So I took the first exit I could (mind you I had just left my house so this exit has only gotten me to the other side of my tiny town) and call my grandma. Who proceeds to LAUGH AT ME. Only because I was being overly dramatic though. But that's what I do. So she gets me all calmed down and I figure out that I can put said stick back on. But I have to hold it for it to stay. No biggie. I got this. I'll get it fixed but I don't know when.
Later on in the day, I was on my way home from taking Teagan to cheer practice. We were looking for big puddles to drive through because it had just rained and she wanted to get splashed. We eventually found one in a parking lot down the road from our house. Just as I'm getting to the puddle, I notice a cop going around the corner really slow. I decide to tell Teagan that we should just go home because the cop is watching us. She happily obliges (thank god, that never happens). As we pull in the driveway I notice that there are two officers parked in between my house and the neighbor's house. I figured they were there for them. No biggie. I start to get out of my car and the nice gentlemen walk over to me. I happen to know both of them. I worked with one forever at Pizza Hut and I went to school and was good friend's with the other's brother. Anyway, they come up to my car ask me how I'm doing and what not then get on with the point. I had a suspended license. I forgot to pay my fine for speeding in the swaggin' wagon. Oops. So at this point I'm trying to keep Teagan calm and convince her that I'm not in a lot of trouble and everything is going to be ok. I take her in, but of course they have to come. I explain to my mom what was going on and kindly get escorted to the police station. Sans handcuffs thank god!
All in all, I had to spend an unexpected $300 that I didn't really have. I can't drive and I work doubles all weekend long. I was pissed. I had a fight with the town I got the speeding ticket in about whether or not I had a warrant anymore, obviously I didn't seeing as how I was taken in for it the night before.
I spent 6 days having to be chauffeured around and it was incredibly shitty. On top of all the other things going on in life. I can look back now and laugh but it added an extra stress on top of the already shitty week I had last week. But at least I can drive now! I called yesterday morning "to see if they got my paperwork" yet. And she said yes! And told me I was reinstated. So of course I went shopping. Which is another story for another day.
Longest week of my life is over and I can't be more happy!

I Live In My Car
I know that I've told you before that my car is a mess. And it really is. However, I've been doing a lot better about keeping it clean. It bugs the shit out of me when it's messy. It's ridiculous the amount of stuff you'd find in my car.
I could live in it though. Seriously. There's so much random shit that I would be ok. So, if you ever see somebody who doesn't look homeless but it looks like they're living out of their car, it might just be me.

This is the passenger side. Always the messiest part.
I thought I'd take you through a tour of things you might need at any time. My car is like a big purse.
You need to work on something? I have a screw driver you can use. I used it once and never took it back in. And, if you're phone is in bad shape, don't worry. I have a brand new phone case in there too.
Hungry and you don't know what Olive Garden has? Well, I can help you out. Just feel to skim through my product knowledge book and find something that makes you happy.
I know it's the middle of August but incase it's snowing, I have snow boots and a hoodie too. And another phone case. Don't worry, we have plenty of phone cases. Mountain dew for when we get thirsty and socks if your feets get cold.
So I should clean it out I guess. But I don't wanna. Do you wanna come clean it out for me? Please. You can keep whatever you find that you like. Except for anything in my purse or related to Luke Bryan.

Block Gets The Best of Me Again
Happy Monday to you cupcake! I know that some of you don't have to work and let me just say that I'm super jealous. Everybody else...I feel ya.
Have you ever gone car shopping? I hate it. HATE it. It's fun to look but when the number crunching happens and I find out that I can't even afford half of a broke down station wagon, I get sad. Saturday the boyfriend and I went to go find me a new car. Well, at least to start looking at them. The first place we went I found a beautiful 07 Civic that I wanted to know about. I had no plan to even talk to a salesman but after I saw this I needed to. So there we went, in his "office" to talk numbers. They'd give me $2000 for my pos. That was nice. A lot more than I thought we'd get from it. I got an insurance quote while I was waiting for his offer, and I about died. DIED I tell you. For basic full coverage I was gonna pay $250 a month. Bahahaha. Not on this wage I make now. Mr. Car Salesman couldn't get an answer from a bank that day so I'm waiting on a phone call from him today. That phone call to tell me that I'm a poor girl and can't have anything nice. Boo. I seriously felt so defeated after we left. One car looked at, and I was sad.And grumpy for the rest of the damn day. If only we would have just looked!
See, I don't have patience. None. When I car shop, I don't like to lolligag and look everywhere. I see one I like and I wanna get it and be done. Then somebody laughs at me and sends me spiraling down with the realization that I'm not gonna get very far only looking at one car.
That's all I did this weekend. The rest of the time was spent working.
Blogger's Block is back in full force. Somebody help me. Don't mind me and my millions of link ups this week. I didn't blog last week and now I have a crap post for today. Blah.
Anybody have any car salesman friends? Or just wanna fund momma's new ride? Please don't hesitate.
Happy Monday loves.

Karma Gods Must Hate Me
Man what a weekend. I'm so glad it's over. Yeah, it was so bad that I'm going to be happy that the damn thing is over.
Saturday was rough. We had an 8 am meeting on top of a double. And all I got was a measly 30 minute lunch break. At the meeting we got free wine though. And we tasted the new stuff we're coming out with. After the meeting it was straight to work. No time for sleep.
It was a rainy Saturday. After a beautiful 60 degree Friday. 30 degree rainy Saturday. Ick. The rain started on my break at 230. I ran to Mickey D's for some shicken nuggets. (that's how the little says it.) Ate and went back to work. When I got back I decided that I didn't want to park super far away from the doors even though that's where employees are supposed to park. I wear a white shirt and didn't want to be the only participant in the wet t-shirt contest. So I parked close to the door. Anyway...it rains, no biggie. Then that shit turned to ice. Ughhh. And we were dead. The longest our waiting list got was 7 names. That's nothing compared to the 30-35 we're used to on a Saturday night. Finally it was time to go home at last. Except we had ice all over our cars. So I went out to defrost that bitch and the doors were frozen shut. I gave it one hard pull and let go. Then one more and the door started to open. And then this happened.
Yeah, that would be a door handle. In my hand. Not on the car. Can you say FAIL much?? I no longer have a door handle on the driver's side of my car. And I didn't even pull that hard. Yeah, that means I can't get in my car from the driver's side either. Life is grand. Then, I couldn't get the passenger side opened up either. A couple people came to help but I didn't want to pull that side off and be fucked forever so I said forget it and boyfriend came to get me. I left my car at work for the night and that gave me the worst feeling ever. I work right off of the interstate and I was scared somebody would try and steal it. Don't get me wrong, if somebody wanted to steal the damn thing go right ahead, but I had a lot of shit in there. I always have a lot of shit in there.
I got up Sunday morning and called work to make sure I still had my car. Sure enough, nobody wanted it. I spend the day with boyfriend and he takes me to work. I make him get the passenger side open because I wasn't about to do it. He gets it open and I go into work. Life is good. After two hours, it's time to go home. I can't complain, didn't really want to be there anyway. I go out to my car and start to get in, except the damn door is frozen shut again. So I take my keys and dig the ice out of the door with them. Tug, nothing. Clean and tug again, nothing. Then I realize the door is locked. That wouldn't be a big deal to most people. Well, my passenger side lock is mangled and I can't get my key in. Lovely. Now, I'm locked out of my fucking car while the driver side door is unlocked but I can't open it. Boyfriend locked the damn thing without even thinking about it. Another $25 and 30 minutes later, my locksmith is there. Thank god. I've never been more happy to get in this piece of shit car then I was the day I first got it and didn't realize how shitty it truly was.
I guess this is what I get for parking where I know I shouldn't. It won't happen again. Thanks karma. Point proven. The positive of this mess, now the whole family agrees I need a new car. Finally!
All weekend long I worked. Par for the course. Not a big deal.

A Post
Hey kids, remember me? I won't be surprised if you don't! Sorry for being such a bad blogger. I'm about to tell you all about it. But I have a couple of fun things to talk about first.
I finally placed an ad on somebody's page! The wonderful Stephanie over at Bourbon and Glitter said that she would be oh so kind enough to let me have a little ad over at her space. I really like this girl! It was love at first Empire Records mention! Yeah, I'm easy. Hahaha. Kidding. She was so sweet about it though. She told me that I didn't have to post her button back. But I'm going to. If I can just figure out how. Anybody want to help? I'm not the kind to not return the favor. So....somebody anybody please help me out here! I really want to learn how to put her wonderful little button on my page.
My munchkin started school this week! This is her last year of preschool. I can't believe it. I know it's a stupid cliche but time does really go by fast! Next year I will have a kindergartner. And I learned that she's not really a munchkin. She's HUGE compared to the other kids in her class that are the same age. I mean taller and more stout. It's crazy. Kid needs to stop growing. Like yesterday. She doesn't have any problems with school thank goodness. She just goes right in and does what she's supposed to. Her teachers love her! That's enough bragging on my kid for now though. Just know....I love her.
I haven't been around a lot this week...this I know. I could have been but all I would have been doing iswining whining. I've had a pretty rough week. And I don't like to bother anybody with my problems because everybody has problems of their own. It's really kind of suckish to feel that way because it means I keep everything bottled inside of me. But I really don't want people to think that they need to worry about me because everybody has something else they need to worry about. People tell me all the time that it's ok, but it's not. Not in my opinion. I don't want somebody to think that I feel my problems are a bigger concern then theirs. The only people who really know how big our problems are happen to be ourselves and the ones up above.
I'm going through a huge funk. I've decided that I'm going to see a dr....I just really put that out there for the whole damn interwebs to read. Wow. Iwant need to be a happier person. Even if it's only for myself. I can't keep living miserably. I don't know how I've let myself get this far along, I wish I would have changed it along time ago.
So...one thing I will tell you about my shitty week is that my car broke down. AGAIN. Seriously. (yes, I say seriously like they do on Grey's Anatomy) It also broke down three weeks ago. Have I mentioned that I got royal screwed when I bought this car? Well, now you know I did. I pay an outrageous amount of money for it and it breaks every three weeks. And I'm not a person who can handle being without a car very well. I hate depending on others because I want to do what I want to do when I want to do it. And as I said earlier, people have other things they need to do than get me places. I feel like a burden. We took it to the mechanic two days ago and the mother fucker hasn't even touched it yet. I'm just a little irritated. Can ya tell? I don't like this mechanic anyway but it's the only one that I could use at the time. What's a girl to do?
I want you kids to have a great 3 day weekend though! When you work in the hospitality industry, there's no such thing as a 3 day weekend. Labor day...what's that? lol. Just another day to me. So...if you're having your last summer hurrah PLEASE have a drink or five for me. I could use it. See ya Monday....

Stuff and Things
Ready for the most random blog post ever? I really wanted to post but didn't have one thing to post about. I have quite a few!
1.) I want to say thank you to all my loyal readers! I had 10 followers for quite awhile and I loved that I had that many. It made me smile soooo much knowing that you wonderful ladies took time out of your day to read what I had to say. It also made me happy that somebody wanted to read my damn blog. Honestly, I don't know what it's even about yet so thanks for hanging on and enjoying the ride. In the last 2 days though, I have gained 4 new followers! That also makes me really happy. So again, THANK YOU to all my awesome followers out there. You make me want to post everyday :) Oh, yeah....and one of my readers isn't a lady. Sorry dad. lol.
2.) My car is kind of a hoopty. I'm not even gonna lie. It's a red Chevy Cobalt that I love to death for some reason. It wasn't taken care of by any means by the person who had it before me. That makes my heart hurt for it. All cars should be cared for because we rely on them soooo much. Anyway.....I bought this car not knowing about all the problems the poor baby had. Sometimes, I want to beat up the guy who sold it to me. It is a beautiful car but it has so many little problems that it's a pos. Today I took it to have one of the many things wrong with it fixed. And it took FOREVER. I have no patience what-so-ever. None. I hate being stranded without a car. And I don't like to ask people for help. You can imagine what a nuisance it is for my car to go to the shop. Well I finally got the call that it was done after I moped around my house because it took two hours longer than I wanted it to. And you know what?!? The idiot who had worked on it before this person had forgot to put a really important piece back on. Seriously? A mechanic is like a Dr in my eyes. And a Dr. sure as hell doesn't leave an important part out. He makes sure to go back and look at what he's done to make sure it's all there. Well, not this Dr. I knew better than to take my car back to him anyway because he had done other things to fuck it up last time he worked on it. I just think that he was trying to scam me! And that pisses me off to no end. Just because I have a vagina between my legs doesn't mean that I can't defend myself. So Mr. Car Dr. better be watching out. Hahahaha. Just kidding (kinda). All I want is to get this beautiful car fixed so that we can enjoy each other for the next couple of years.
Sorry for the rant...like I said....I love my car and believe that we should love them. And I honestly believe that my car is a transformer just so you know. ;)
3.) If you know anything about Pinterest, you know that a lot of outfits pinned are from Polyvore. I don't get polyvore. Do you? Can somebody please explain to me how to get creative in putting together pictures of outfits that are too expensive for me to ever think about owning? lol. Seriously.
I think that's all for today. At least for now. I really am going to do like a serious blog post soon. I think...maybe.

And I honestly believe that my car is a transformer just so you know. ;)

I think that's all for today. At least for now. I really am going to do like a serious blog post soon. I think...maybe.
