I Just Don't Like It

So  today's post may not be truly orginial. In fact, I'm stealing the idea from Maggie. I thought it was a great idea. One of  those, well, why didn't I think of that? So thanks for the great idea girl. This probably makes me a mess for not coming up with something super original and cool.

I don't like a lot of things. Probably a lot of things that you like. And today, I'm going to share some of them with you.

Salad
No no no. A salad is the quickest, healthiest way to get me to run in the oppisite direction. I just can't get down on lettuce or anything that's soft but has a crunch. Basically, any veggie ever made. Now, while I may not like to eat them, they do occassionally look appealing, but I know that they're not. And fruit salad...get the fuck outta here with that. No way.

DIY
No, you do it yourself. That's what I think any time I see anything remotely diy on pinterest. I know that i have no artistic ability and I don't see a problem with that. I'm sure as hell not going to turn my old t into an awesome racer back work out tank. Nope, if I tried, it would turn out like a scarf. I can almost damn guarantee it. Whatever pretty, fancy schmancy things I need that I could diy, somebody on Etsy works harder and enjoys what they're doing, so I'll just buy it from them.

Ice Cream
Yep, that's right. I don't like ice cream. How un-American of me right? It's just so cold. I hate cold stuff on my teeth. I crave ice cream about once a year. I don't like it when it melts either. That pisses me off. So much effort to eat something. I want to take my time and eat it when I feel like it, but no. Ice cream is the boss and is all "Eat me now or I'll just melt all over your white shirt and your iphone. Hahahaha."

Katy Perry
Just no. There are not enough words to explain why I can't stand her. I think that her and John Mayer are perfect for each other. They each have their own line of douche baggyness. Except John's music is good and Katy doesn't stand a chance. When I found out her and Russell were divorcing, I was kinda happy for him. I mean yummmmm....have you seen him? I don't think Katy Perry is a real person. Her hair color is fake, her personality seems fake, her music...well, I just can't get behind this one. Look at those crazy eyes.

Look at those crazy eyes. Don't tell me you don't see it.

Vino2Go
This may get me a lot of hate, and I'm sorry you pretty ladies that love it. I just can't. Like, when do you use it? I mean, you can't take it in the car, open container or drinking and driving. So what's the point? I mean I'm a mess but I don't knock over my glasses. Oh no, there's none of that going around. Maybe if somebody wants to just give me one I'll understand it better. Any takers?? I'm willing to let you try and change my mind here.

What do you not like that everybody thinks you're crazy for?

What a Long Strange Trip it's Been...

If there were pms police they would be after me this week. I've been such a crabby, whiny, tired, crazy lady. I decided to fill you guys in with the wonderfulness that you might get to experience if you actually got to hang out with me everyday.

I dropped my child support card out of my shorts pocket and it fell underneath the deck. Not a big deal really, I cancelled it and went on with my life. Later, I went to buy something and realized I actually dropped my debit card. I quietly pouted in my car. Womp womp. No monies for me right now.

I started to cry because they didn't have any onion rings at BK. Then BK got my order wrong 3 times. I cried a little more. The last time I didn't even bother having them fix it. I just got angry and gave up.

I cried because I didn't want to do anything and my mom and tea wanted to. They hurt my feelings by saying "We don't have to go then." I lost it. They weren't even being mean.

I'm the cat, this is the look I've been getting all week.

I'm so tired this week that I've spelled my own name wrong on many entries in two different giveaways. Oops.

My blog reader that I use on my phone decided that it was going to connect with another reader service. I updated it and lost all the blogs that I hadn't read yet that morning. I proceeded to yell at my phone even though it didn't matter.

What I'm trying to say is...I've been a loon. And I'm sorry. Happy Friday cupcakes. Love ya!

Just Kidding...It's Friday so of course there has to be a #backthatazzup Friday song.

Now...Happy Friday Cupcakes. Love ya!

Shit Not To Do

I was riding the struggle bus yesterday and apparently missed my stop because I'm still on it today.

Yesterday work sucked. I cried like 3 times. My head was not in the game that's for sure. And I don't know if I told you but Sunday night I had a party of 7 (originally 8, one left) that left me $5 on their $100 tab. Sweet huh. Well, apparently I pissed them off because they felt the need to email the manager about me and their experience. And now they get a free $100 gift card. Yay for me. I've never gotten a complaint, and it sucks when it happens. I thought that they were perfectly fine because they never acted upset, asked to speak to a manager, or ever said anything was wrong.

And now I have a blog post. Boom.

Today I'll present you with ways to not be a pain in the ass to anybody that serves you. EVER.

1. If you feel there is a problem, speak up about it. We aren't hear to make you have a miserable experience. We actually want you to have a good time. The better of a time you have, the more likely we'll get a good tip. Most of us want to do a good job, and you aren't doing anybody a favor by giving crappy tips and moping.

2. If your server is with a different table and you need them, wait till they are done talking to the table that just got sat to call them over. Seriously, yesterday I was trying to get drink orders for a family of 4 that had just sat down, when my table right behind them says "Yeah, hey can we get more breadsticks." Are you fucking serious? Way to be an adult!

3. Try not to overly complicate your order. I know that people have allergies/certain way they like things/aren't used to eating here, but the harder you make it for me to put your food in, the longer it will probably take to come out. I do want to make you happy and I'll do my best to accommodate you but don't order a salad with a different type of lettuce then what we use, without pepperoncinis, extra tomatoes, onion, and croutons, with ranch and house dressing on the side. Oh, and then yeah, we do want those pepperoncinis after all.

4. I'm more than happy to get whatever you need but I'd appreciate it if you'd ask all at one time. I'd rather get you a drink refill, a salad refill, more napkins, and breadsticks in one trip then four. Because walking back and forth that much gets really old really fast. I'd like to stand in the side station and take a damn breath for a minute. And talk to the other servers so we can share our war stories.

5. Children. This shit gets subpoints. It's not that servers don't like children, we just don't like them when they're in our section. Read this article. It's hilarious.
    - subpoint A. Don't let your child throw food all over the floor. I understand babies can't help it, but for             the love of all things holy, help clean it the fuck up. Where I work we have hokies, things that look like vaccuums but don't make any noise, they don't pick shit up. They just smear wet baby drooled on food in the floor. And if I have to touch it with my hands, you're gonna be voodoo dolled later on.
   - subpoint B. You're five year old doesn't know the different kind of pastas we have. They don't understand that there are different kinds of pasta. Don't keep me at your table for 10 minutes trying to get your child to decide what kind of pasta they want. You're the damn adult, you decide.
  - subpoint C. Don't let them run around like hellions. This isn't your home. We carry big trays of hot ass food with hot ass plates on them. When little Billy Joe gets first degree burns from my food and I lose my job because you're making OG pay your hospital bills, I'll be pissed. Keep them on a leash!!

Now when you go eat, think of me. It'll make you smile. =)

People Suck

I always have the highest page views on days I don't blog. Guys, this is a bad thing! How come more people don't come visit when I actually post something? Huh, huh, Why?? Who knows. I'm beginning to think I suck at this blog thing. So many things I want to do but so much I don't. Woof. Sad face. Womp womp. Alright, enough pity party for me.

Things are going pretty good right now. I found out that my manager wants to hire two more hosts and then cross train me to serve!! I'm super pumped about that. That's all I've wanted to do since I started at the good ol' OG (Olive Garden if you're new here). Catch is, they actually have to be good hosts. The last few we've hired have been terrible. Terrible at the easiest job in the world. I know, I shouldn't judge, but damn, it's not as hard as these people make it out to be. It's a mentally challenging job. That's for sure.

My madre and Blake both got new jobs too! I'm super happy for them. They both need it.

But I have one shitty thing running through my mind right now. See, I don't have drama. And I know people that say that normally do, but seriously, I don't. I don't do anything or hangout with people so...no drama for this lady. But right now, I kinda do. A seriously shady girl that I know, messaged me the other night and asked if there was any beef between us because she seriously needs a job. Another "friend" of mine told her we were hiring and she wanted to make sure it was cool if we worked together. Bitch, listen here, if you have to ask somebody if it's ok to work with them, then it's probably not a good idea. Right? And how dare her put it on me that she's "desperate" for a job. You're a grown ass woman. If you need a job that bad I don't think that a person should be in the way of stopping you. I won't go into why this girl and I don't really get a long because it's not really about me. But she hurt a lot of people around me in really fucked up ways. There are only two people in this entire world that I would freak out about. And she is one of them. But I was an adult and said "yeah, it's fine" thinking you know, it wasn't the nicest sounding message so maybe she won't do it. Lo and behold, bitch had an interview and was there when I got to work today. I freaked out - full panic attack style kids. It's bad. Luckily, I held it together enough that none of the managers or other employees saw my freak out. But it sure felt like it was way out there. I finally broke down and told a manager that I don't care if they hire her, but I would prefer not to be in the same training class and around her. I had to. I was trying so hard to not be drama and not say anything. But I need to be comfortable at work. It's my job too. She has another interview to go through so maybe she won't get hired, but I had to say something now. I know this all sounds like rambling mumbo jumbo but I feel better getting it out there.

And for the "friend" who knows that the girl and I aren't really besties, well, I no longer consider her a friend. I don't know how a friend does that to somebody else. She knows what went down with this girl and the people she fucked over. And she knows she's not really a person that I like to be around. "Friend" is supposed to be really good friends with Blake and by doing this, we both learned that she's not who we thought she was.

And that's my rant for today. I know that I haven't been doing the blog every day in May thing but this fits perfectly right now. Have a good day cupcakes! Love your faces.

Around Here

Around here...Boyfriend broke the remote control. Cue tears. We have Dish Network. So I can't just go buy a new one. Ours won't do anything. He accidentally dropped it in a cup of water while he was sleeping. Nice huh. Sure we can turn the tv on manually buttt we can't watch anything from the DVR and we can't change the channel. Life is grand. -.- I have no idea what to do to get a new one. Argggghhhh. Plus it's not my house and not my name on the bill so I couldn't fix it if I needed to. Cue more tears. I guess I'm going to get a lot of sleeping or homework done. Probably sleep. Hahahaha. First world problems...tell me about it. And because I can't delete anything off of the DVR it's going to stop recording things because it's almost to capacity. -.-

Around here...it's cold. And I don't mean outside. I don't know what the deal is but apparently the cool thing to do is turn your heat off when you leave for work so that the bill doesn't go up. Doesn't constantly changing the temperature in fact increase said bill??? Let's make sure that everybody else that is here during hte say will freeze to death because that's what polite people do. Again...not my house so I'm not going around changing the thermostat. I wish.

Around here...my car is broken again. This time I'm not fixing it. I'm hoping to lease a new one by February. I'm tired of pouring money into a car that isn't worth it. I'm tired of having a car that doesn't run right. I'm tired of being taken advantage of by car salesmen and mechanics. I'm gonna go nuts on the next person that rips me off with a vehicle.

Around here...I just fixed said remote ALL SMILES right now.

Around here...I'm so sick of being in school. I just want to be done. But I still have three more years. -.- I don't know what I want to do. I just want to be done. I'm tired of it. 16 years of school is getting annoying now. That's over half my life. I just want to snap my fingers and graduate.

Around here...I like where I work but I'm not fond of my job. It doesn't pay enough. Fo sure. Actually it pays decent but I can't get enough hours to get said good paycheck. They don't have a lot of hours to give out. And I'm tired of working nights. I really want to be home with my little person at night. I feel like I'm missing so much and it sucks. I miss her. I want a normal hour job 8-5 Monday through Friday.

Around here...I have a whiny dog. I don't really know what her problem is except I'm not laying on the couch with her. I love her and her neediness. lol. I can't imagine life any other way with any other dog =)

Around here...Christmas is on high priority right now. I'm super excited about it. Although I busted the other day and couldn't find a damn things anywhere. It looks like a lot of online shopping is going to be done. Thank you e-bates. Getting paid to shop...don't mind if I do.

And that's life around here!

I found this hilarious. hahaha.

This Is What I Do

I've told y'all that I'm a host before. And just like every other job, sometimes it's frustrating. Most often the customers are the ones that drive me bananas. I probably shouldn't be posting this but I'm going to anyway.

First thing - DON'T tell me you want a booth after I've already taken you to your seat. Come on! If you want a booth you need to tell us before because we follow a rotation. And then we have to try and figure out which server has a booth and who's going to take you. I know booths are more comfortable, but shit, you'll get food wherever you sit.

And that brings me to this...Don't be so picky about where you sit. Seriously....I don't want this table, it's in the middle of the room. Wahhhh. Cry about it. I don't like this room, let's go to a different one. This table is too big...I get that one a lot. OG has at least 2 tables that seat 6 in every room...sometimes those will be the only tables left and people refuse to sit there. Or they'll say "Well, there's only two of us, are you sure you want to use this huge table for us..." Yeah bitch, I'm sure. I wouldn't have brought you here if I had something smaller. Again..food tastes the same no matter where you sit.

Don't be rude to me. This encompasses sooooo many people. Like the people who think I'm dumb because I work at a restaurant. I'll ask for a name, and this is the response I get most of the time..."It's Anna, A-N-N-A." Ok, seriously? I do know how to spell. Don't treat me like a moron please. I work here because I chose to, not because I'm illiterate and don't have any other options. How about the people that refuse to talk to me. They're my favorite. They'll be walking out and I'll ask how their dinner was or tell them to have a great night and they refuse to acknowledge me. It's super sweet. They'll look right at me and keep walking. HELLOOOOO I'm a person...say something. lol. It's a good thing I have a filter or I wouldn't have a job.

Why do people come in and get mad if there's a wait? Hello, it's 630 on a Saturday night...what the hell else did you expect? They get all huffy and puffy about it. And then there's the person who gets mad because there's nobody ahead of them but they have to wait...ok here let me help you think of something...maybe I just sat my last open table. Please take your frumpiness about waiting for five minutes out my door. Come back in with a nice attitude please.

What's that you say...you need a private area away from children...I know that place...it's called YOUR HOUSE! Don't come to a restaurant expecting to be seated away from kids. Especially because it's a damn family restaurant. As for a "private" area....ummmm yeah let me just put each person who wants to eat in peace and suck face by themselves....wait...I DON'T HAVE ROOM FOR THAT! Sorry about your luck...it's your anniversary and you want to enjoy some quiet time with you significant other...ummmm they make hotel rooms. =)

I'm not your server. I don't get your money. Please don't tell me everything you want. I'll be more than glad to help you out a little...but I can't take your orders...I need to go back up front and seat some more people before they freak out and throw something at me.

You over there...stop letting your 2 year old run around this place. I have servers walking around with huge trays that are extremely heavy and have hot food and plates on them. I don't want little Tarzan to get hurt so step up and act like a mom lady. Yeah, it's cute the first time...after the 6th time though, I'm trying my hardest not to scream at you.

Yep...we still allow smoking...because this is the midwest. Smokers get to enjoy their fettuccine alfredo just as much as you. Yeah, I'll seat your far away from it. Don't roll your eyes at me when I ask if you have a smoking preference...just tell me non. It's not a big deal. And don't fake cough all the way to your seat as we're passing the smoking area. Get a life.

Look, this is the only interaction I get with people so please try and talk with me as we're walking to your seat. I'm not talking to hear myself. I'm trying to be friendly. And if you don't want to talk...well just give me a one word answer when I ask how your day has been. I'll get it from there. We don't have to talk but don't ignore me when I try and be polite. And get off your damn phone...you're here with people and you should pay attention to them.

Oh you have between 10 and 20 people coming in! Well that doesn't help me any. I need to know the closest number you can give me because I have to know which tables to set up and how many servers are going to be needed. And then there's more of you then you said and there isn't enough room...well shucks! Squeeze in because we have no place else to go! Hahahahaha.

Quite the rant...I know. But I really do like my job. Sometimes people just suck. I can't vent to them so lucky me it's stuck in my head all night. And I thought I would share with you fine people =) If I offended you, I'm sorry. I know there's exceptions to every rule! But fuck sometimes these people drive me crazy.

someecards.com - I'm outta here, bitches. Seat your own damn selves. ...every host ever...
