She's 21

Yep, you read that right. My momma is 21...again. (41 for those who don't wanna do the math.) Shhh don't tell her that I told you. And I was wrong with my math up there. Oops. I put 42 and believed it was right for like 10 minutes. Good thing for editing.

Today is her birthday. 41 years ago, she came into this world and she has made quite a bit of difference. I mean without her, there wouldn't be me.

I just want her to know that I love her very much. At times, I can be a little brat, I know that. But you put up with all my bullshit. Thank you.

I could say thank you for a lot of things. And I do thank you for all the things. I just can't write it all here. This would be the never ending blog post.

You better enjoy being 21 again. It won't happen again until you're 63. Bahahaha. The day is yours. Do with it as you please. But there better be some drinkage happening.

So let's play dress up. And go grab a beer. Because you're the best mom. Love you.

Booze and Broadway

I guess I'm back finally. Did you miss me? I missed you. I've got so much to talk about I don't even know where to start. My life has been full of exciting stuff. And it's weird!

Everybody has a bucket list. And if you say you don't, I don't believe you. Although mine isn't written anywhere on this blog, I keep a running list in my head. I mean, it's kind of hard to forget amazing shit you want to do. Anyway, on this pretty little list of mine, one of the biggest things I had to do is see a show on/from Broadway. And this girl finally got to do it!!

Last Tuesday, I got to see The Lion King!!!!! The one Broadway show that I had to see before I kicked the bucket. I still can't believe I got to see it.

My mom, Teagan, Wife, Auntie, Grandma, my cousin Josh, and one of my auntie's other nieces all went to Tulsa to see it. And it was fucking amazing. I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry. I was just so excited and had this rush of emotions and crying is what happens when I have a rush of emotions. Lion King is one of my most favorite movies of ever. I watched and rewatched it when I was little. So this was a big deal.

Plus, I got some booze out of the whole thing. Ummm yes! But, when you go to OK, be careful. They have some stupid liquor laws such as there beer doesn't have as much alcohol in it as the beer in Missouri. So drink a little more to make up for it. Then again, Missouri has some of the loosest liquor laws in all the land. =) One more reason I don't know if I could move away.

The show itself was just amazing. Fucking amazing. Whatever I was expecting was blown away. Some of the actors had the character's voices down perfect. Especially Scar and Zazu. I can't imagine how much work these people put into these shows. They were flawless. To go from a big stage in NYC to one probably half the size in Tulsa, that takes talent. I can't even pick a favorite part because it's all my favorite. And our seats were in the second row right behind the orchestra. Amazing seats. Just amazing!

My mom lost her shit driving there. And it wasn't funny at the time but it is now. I thought she was gonna kill us. Or somebody else. She hates getting lost as to where myself and the Wife enjoy it. It adds more adventure. Apparently not. And she reads this blog so I can't wait to hear what she has to say.

Outfit choice. I look like a chunk but I've perfected one hand on the hip. Ladies, take it from me,
don't ever let a man take pictures of you. You'll always look fat.

Teagan and Wife. Drinking too much mountain dew.

We made it.

the ticket, the building, my program to keep forever and ever, and the back ground before it started.

Unfortunately, but totally understandable, you can't take any pictures of the show. I get this but at the same time it kinda blows.

She was tired of me and this face proves it.

One of the coolest things about this theater was that they served booze. I mean, I haven't been to very many theaters but I didn't think that they would have my favorite past time ready to go. When we got there I just had a beer because I was in a hurry to order. Who am I kidding, I just love beer. Yum. They also let you pre-order drinks for intermission. And my choice was some bubbly. Because champagne makes anything classy. Right? I didn't even have to wait in line for it. They set up this nice little table with all the drinks on them. When you pre-ordered you got a little card with a number. All you had to do was find your number, grab your drink, and chug that shit because you only got 15 minutes. And if you're with my Wife, you'll have to chug hers too because she won't like it. And then you'll be tipsy watching the rest of the Lion King and you'll have to pee so bad you can't sit still.

Gettin' my drink on.

I tried to be artsy because the wife said so. I think it looks dumb. But hey here's a picture of some bubbly.

The trailer.

After it was over the first thing out of my mouth was "Let's watch it again!" I could have sat there and not moved, except to get more bubbly and use the ladies, and watched it all over again. I'm 54683 % sure that each time you watch it you notice more and more. So if you ever want to take me out, here's your chance. Just take me to a broadway show and I'm yours forever. And Ever.

Now The Party Can Begin

When I found out that my the fantabulous Stephanie was having a party themed link up, I thought to myself "Self, how appropriate is that!" She is the queen of partying. And I knew i had to link up. Because duh, that's what awesome blog friends do.

I couldn't decide what the hell I wanted to post about since I don't really go out a lot. Than I realized that you guys have never seen footage from the birthday of all birthdays...21!

That's the boy dancing with me.

That Wife girl.

Again, and our friend in the background

Everybody! My auntie is on crutches.

Auntie and I

Again

The Princess

My auntie got a limo for all of us to bar hop in Joplin. It was pretty fun. There was some drama and if I could go back and do it again, I would. But I would do it right this time. The boy got more drunk than I did and puked all over said limo. I happened to put my hand in it! lol. And I had really good hair going on then too. I want it back please.

I Can't Come Up With Anything Original

Yesterday should forever be remembered as the day I got it together. Not a joke in anyway! i got up yesterday morning, went to the post office, I've done a lot of homework, scheduled appointments, and turned in some things I needed to turn in. Hallelujah  It feels so good to be a normal adult. Not procrastinating and not doing stuff I should be doing. Hopefully I can get it together and be more *gasp* responsible. Shhh...don't say that word too loud, it's kind of scary.

Anyway...like I told you Friday, I was off of work this past weekend and boy was it nice. I didn't even have to request it off, it was just given to me. And I got Monday off too. Three day weekend - Holla!!

Friday I did the usual, work. I worked a double and I don't ever wanna work a double on Good Friday ever again. Friday doubles are supposed to be easy peasy and relaxing. Not this shit. Kids were out of school and parents felt lazy I guess so we were pretty busy all day long.

Saturday was great! I woke up planning to do all kinds of stuff but did nothing but couch surf my afternoon away. I love being a bum. I know I had homework to do but I just needed to turn off for the day. So that's what I did. I knew it was time to get around though. I had to run into the dark abyss of the world Walmart to find something for mini for Easter from the bunny - which she doesn't believe in. More on that later. I was grumpy and ultra super emotional. Womp womp...all my ladies know why. So because I felt like a terrible mom for buying Easter presents the night before Easter I had a mini meltdown with my mom at Walmart. But at least I wasn't in my sweat pants! I ended up buying some stuff and regretting it because I saw all the other kids' baskets on fb and felt terrible for not making her one. I just bought some clothes for her. Next year I vow to do better and start earlier. After that it was time to go get the man and go out! Yes, that's right, I went out. Momma, Boyfriend, and I went to Kitchen Pass (a hole in the wall with amazing birthday cake shots) to watch her friends' bands play. First up was The Rampaging Sons of the Widow James...yeah that's the whole name. Why would anybody name their band something that long? Beats the piss outta me. Then it was time for Dirty Deeds - an AC/DC cover band! They rocked!!

The Madre and I

I felt special having my name on something reserved!

Ignore my weird facial structure.

Just a picture.

If my video ever finishes uploading to Youtube, I'll put it on here. If not, well, I hate Youtube so whatever. My shit never works right.

I drank a lot and proceeded to have a wonderful evening with my family! I love being a happy drunk. I'm not always but this time I was and life was good. We had a wonderful evening.

Then it was Easter! It was Teagan's dad's holiday so I didn't get to wake up with her. That shit is so weird and hard sometimes. Anyway, Madre, Madre's Madre, Boyfriend and I all went to Golden Coral for lunch. Classy, I know. My grandma was gonna cook but her hunnie had a migrane and it was just easier to go out to eat. The food was just so so. Don't ever go to restaurants on holidays. It's not going to be as great as it could be! But I did have a cool cookie.

See, pretty awesome huh!

My mom's disgusted face at some kind of pie. I died a little.

After lunch Boyfriend and I headed back to his place so I could relish in some afternoon hangover napping. Which never happened. Sad face. Then Teagan's dad decided that I could have her for the afternoon so I jumped in my car and picked her up. She looked so cute and grown up. I need a way to stop that shit. We went home, did the Easter thing there. That's when I learned about the bunny. I asked if she was ready to see what the bunny brought her and she said something along the line of well, what you got me but we pretend it's from the Easter bunny. He's not real. I just said ok. And then harassed her about Santa. I don't think she believes in him either but she wouldn't outright say it. She's only 5! How can she already not believe?? Oh well, one less lie to tell her. I got my basket, she got hers. We were happy. Then we went to my dad's for his side of the family's Easter. He grilled some ribs and hamburgers but made these awesome sauce baked potatoes that I went to town on. MMM so good. We gabbed and played until 8 when I realized I really needed to get Teag back to her dad's. This is the only pic I got of her and it's not even mine. This is her with her sister. Blogger fail, but at least I got one at all! On the ride home I let her sit in the front because I get tired of being a damn taxi lady. She passed out and in that moment, I wished that time would have stopped. I wish that I could have held her hand and just enjoyed that moment.

Have a great Tuesday cupcakes! I've got school today and I close at work. Womp womp. Love your faces!

Country Music

I shouldn't use technology. It's true. It just pisses me off more and more everyday. I mean all I want to do is get my ringtones back from iTunes but can't. And I want to add some damn videos to Youtube but can't. My computer is being uber slow for some reason. Also, what's this bullshit that I have to have a Google + account to get a YouTube account? I deleted my Google + for a reason and now I have to start another one. Boo.
End Rant//

So, if you remember I went and saw Luke Bryan this weekend and it was fabulous! My auntie, momma, and boyfriend all went with me. Boyfriend isn't a country music person but I think this concert might have helped change his mind a little bit. He really liked Florida Georgia Line.

Before we left on Saturday, I had to get my hair done. It was rough. Of course I got it dyed red. That's the only color I dye it. And it got cut a little but not enough! I also got my eyebrows done for free because my birthday was this month and Ulta gives you a free eyebrow wax during your birthday month. Well, they did, but now they're doing away with it. Sad face. After my beautifying was done I had dinner with my momma at Qdoba, (it's kind of like Chipotle if I understand right) and then we had to go find a shirt for me to wear. Because duh, it's not good enough if I already own it! My shopping trip for the shirt sucked major. I couldn't find anything sparkly that I wanted. But i got a bunch of cute accessories.

They had some weird little drier thing I've never seen before
I look washed out and you can't even really see the depth of the red. It's awesome though.

I have real glasses but I really want some cute fake ones.

We got up bright and early Saturday morning to leave. To say I was excited was putting it lightly. We had a 4 hour drive there which wasn't so bad. When we got to Columbia we went to eat at a local bar and grill called Shiloh. Columbia is a college town which I adore! The food was just ok at the restaurant but the beer was good! I had the buffalo chicken wrap. I love bufflao chicken anything but jeez there buffalo sauce had a ton of vinegar in it. I thought it tasted like pickles. lol.

After that we drove around trying to find the venue because I had to pick up our tickets at 430. After we found it it was time to go get ready! Boyfriend slept while we did that. I couldn't believe he could take a nap with all the giggling and talking we were doing.

Me and Auntie

Me and Momma

I will never be a fashion blogger. It took me like 5641351 tries to get this picture decent. I don't even really like it. lol. You can't even really see what my black shirt looks like. Blah.

And these were the most important part!

Off to the concert we went. I got the tickets at 430 and they didn't let us in until 630. Long two hour wait but so worth it. I didn't know where our seats would be until I picked up my tickets. I looked at the email showing how the venue was laid out and compared our seats to the tickets. I was disappointed because it didn't look very close but I was wrong! Our seats were awesome though. While we were waiting they had a contest to sign up to win meet and greets. We would have been happy with anything but of course we were super pumped for the Luke Bryan ones. They drew the first name and it was Kimberly...my aunt's name was Kimberly. I stopped breathing for a second. Then they said the last name, wasn't us. They drew the third and said Kim, and I stopped breathing again. Again, not us. I'm surprised I didn't have a heart attack. lol.

First up was Florida Georgia Line, I wasn't too excited for them, but turns out they are really good! Even boyfriend likes them. After they came out I went back up stairs to get more booze and buy a t-shirt. I hate the t-shirt lines. They are so unorganized. We stood in line for them for about 20 minutes. Then I went to the booze line and didn't have my id. I didn't think I needed it seeing as how the first time I bought booze they gave me a little green bracelet. Turns out "it's just to let security know that you can drink legally." Insert pissyness here. If it's ok for the security why is it not ok to buy more with? At this point I had missed at lesat 30 minutes of Thompson Square. So I went back to my seat just in time for them to sing Glass and Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not.

Florida Georgia Line...I hate how cameras make it seem that stuff is farther away than it is.

Thompson Square

And then it was time for Luke! Guys seriously, even if he wasn't such a cutie, he puts on one hell of a show. Especially for this being his first headlining tour. He interacted with the audience so much! He kept taking phones from the people in the pit and taking pictures of himself with them. He pulled people out of the audience to come on stage, he was just great. If I had money I would totally go see him again. I liked it that much. And yeah, he can shake it. Wow.

Enjoy!

Blogger is being weird and won't let me add a button but I'm linking up with

Friday's Letters

It's Friday...I'm off this whole freaking weekend. Wanna know why...I get to go see Luke Bryan tomorrow for my birthday. Yep, my birthday was over a week ago but I didn't have a get together because I wanted to save money for this. I'm so super duper excited. It's going to be myself, Blake, Momma, and my Auntie! We weren't sure if she could go since her surgery was on my birthday but on Wednesday we got the ok. I can't freaking wait.

Dear Friday, I'm so happy to finally see you. After 8 days of work you're the bright light at the end of the tunnel. We have a super day planned. I'm going to lunch with dad, buying myself a new shirt, getting the hair done, and eyebrows waxed. Gotta look hot for this weekend. Ya know, I may not come back. Luke might ask me to marry him.

Dear Luke, Gahhh I'm so excited for you. You're openers aren't that exciting to me but I won't turn down seeing a band live. I'll be shaking it for you so hopefully you notice and whisk me away.

Dear Boyfriend, I know that you aren't a country music fan but thank you so much for coming with me. I'm ready to get my drink on and sing sweet country songs to you all night. And please don't get too jealous. I still love you the mostest.

Dear Momma, I'm so happy you're coming. I haven't been to a concert with you since Sugar Ray. I was like 9. Don't mind me getting my drink on. That's what concerts are for. Thanks for coming with!

Dear Auntie, I don't even know where to start. I haven't told blog world about your amazing news so I guess I'll share now. CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING CANCER FREE! You did it. I'm so incredibly proud of you. You've been so strong and I admire that. And I'm excited you get to come with me. We bought the tickets so long ago, and this cancer shit almost interfered. Not now. =)

Dear Self, Have fun this weekend! Live a little. You deserve this. It's been awhile since you could let lose so do it. Don't over plan and just go with the flow. Don't fight it. It will all work out. We do need to get on the working out train though. come on girl. I know you can do it.

Dear Happiness Project, I started you over a week ago and haven't picked you up since. I even marked in you. That's a big deal for me. I'm ready to pick you up and start my own happiness project.

Dear Cupcakes, That would be you reading this - thanks so much. I love your face. I haven't been a very good blogger lately but you guys still choose to stick around. I love blogland. Have a great weekend, I know I will!
